I grew up in Dubai, my family knew Sheikh Mohammed very well and I can safely say Ed is right, not Piers.

Dougie Fairfax very true, Indians and pakistani's built the gulf in the past 20 30 years. I lived in Saudi Arabia for 12 years and I saw the way they treat the labourers, it's so horrible and terrible, I really enjoyed their company when I got to know them, and i vouched more for them than the Saudi's lol

I'd only add that there are perhaps more salient points to be made about the current state of Dubai than its initial development given the relative comparisons to the UK, which hardly has a great history in that regard

Piers Morgan is the type of man that will argue against everything he stands for just to prove a point he's making in that moment. Leaves him w no leg to stand on when he's actually rarely right

I've always hated Piers Morgan. But I only really learned how to truly loathe and despise him after seeing him at the Leveson Inquiry. Anyone in mood for watching a good old squirm, get over there.

This just reaffirms my love for Ed Byrne, Agh ♥

Piers never denies that the worst people are encouraged and told they're great. He goes "How do you know what goes on? I know what goes on, you don't." No denial at all.

"The producers choose people who are the most obviously talented or the most obviously entertaining" So in other words they do put people on stage who are obviously talentless for us to laugh at. So in other words Ed Byrne was correct. thank you Piers Morgan.

Debating at its finest, I have attempted to explain things to people as belligerent as Piers before and become very angry so congratulations to Ed Byrne on remaining calm and clearly winning the debate.

I thought exactly the same.

My dad is older than Dubai. It can't have a culture being so young, it began as something mad, builting a city in the middle of no where and is simply continuing that process.

Piers Morgan talks of hypocracy to Ed Byrne here. One of the main reasons Piers Morgan has such a high market value for TV is due to the fact that he was a judge on Britains Got Talent. A man who has never performed on stage the same way. He also talks of how Actors etc shouldnt have an opinion on Politics. Shouldnt it be the same in that case that Journalists and 'Tv personalities' shouldnt be able to judge talent?

Piers Morgan will pass on to the next world trying to have the last word. Everyone left behind will talk about how much they despised him for ten minutes and then nobody will remember he existed and nobody will ever talk about him again.

I like Ed, and I agree with what he saying here however he really missed a trick attacking Piers Morgan over Britain’s got talent, there is so much more you could’ve got dirt on him for. An oversight on his part in the argument here he otherwise had Morgan wrestled to the ground.

Ed Byrne speaks the truth ...Piers Morgan on the other hand makes me ashamed. I spoke to a guy set up by set up by a Cowell show they came to him and told him he was great, when the show was edited it made him and is mates look like idiots. I felt for the guy everyone had the video on their phones it was really cruel. This was 10 years ago and nasty people still show it to everyone the guy meets. I feel Piers Morgan is a man with little honour he knows exactly what those shows did then.

Funny for Morgan to deny what goes on behind the scenes of talent shows when clearly, that girl who sang Pink was told by producers to sing it when that wasn't what she wanted to do. They made her out to be trying to hard to be something she's not, and then showed her storming off in way which made her out to be the villain. I don't know what idea the judges have but the producers definitely know.

Piers Morgan is incorrect (shocker!!!). I worked at a hotel where the X Factor/Pop Idol/Whatever held one of the first auditions, and Ed has it completely right. I saw it with my own eyes.
