The inaugural offspring of the legendary Winx, a dark bay filly sired by Pierro, made a striking debut in the auction ring. By the day's end, she not only captured the imagination of onlookers but also set a new record, fetching an astonishing $10 million. This sale not only made her the priciest thoroughbred ever sold at auction in Australia but also reaffirmed the enduring legacy of her illustrious dam.

This remarkable filly was presented as Lot 391 by Coolmore, where Paddy Sheehan, the head of the foaling unit, had the honor of leading her through. So happy to see this beautiful baby stay with Winx owner or part owner and in Australia. I think this filly will make Winx proud no matter what any people say about percentages. Wow that was quite am emotional and high stress moment for Debbie. She did good holding it together as long as she did. Very big moment.

The filly was staying in Australia anyway as the American underbidder had already stated he was going to keep the filly in Australia to race and then breed as he wants to have a presence in Australia

She loves WINX a lot, heaps of love. So the Winx mania continues, I am crying too, when i saw the Winx filly, i dearly miss Winx, oh wow! I hope Chris Waller will get Hugh Bowman to ride the filly, And Umut and Candice take care of the Baby Winx

..Waller doesn't choose who rides. Regardless Bowman is an absolute joke of a jockey. Mcdonald, Kah or Lane, much better options. Winx saved Bowmans backside way too many times.

To be honest, the owners always leaves it to the trainer to choose and decide who will ride the horse, For me personally as my opinion, " there was that SPECIAL BOND BETWEEN HUGH AND WINX", THAT ALWAYS MAKES THEM "WIN" THE RACE, THEY KNOW EACH OTHER SO WELL, AND ARE FAMILIAR WITH EACH OTHER TOO. This is only.my own point of view, w all due respect to people.

@csbcsb4458 Well, Horses are like human beings, they can communicate too, they know who they are with, Waller and the owners, decided that it would "always be Hugh Bowman" who will ride her, in all her races, they have developed that strong bond that brought them to WIN ALL THE TIME!!! Just my own opinion only. No offense to others

I hope Winx turns out a better broodmare than her relative Zenyatta.

I really can't understand why they keep breeding a great mare like Winx with sires that don't do her justice? She's a Street Cry mare who does well with plenty of European sires.

What do mean a joke? She wasn't the owner, she was a part-owner, at 1/3rd. The underbidder was at $9m, so she could have pocketed $3m, but instead is writing a cheque for $6.6m to buy out the other two thirds.
