At the part where Vic sings, "please, don't take this out on me, cause you're the only thing that's keeping me alive" in the background Vic says (not sings) "I don't know how much longer I can take on this earth. I've lost all hope in everything, and nothing seems to work. There's no hope left for me." You can hear it better at a low volume and listen with only the left earpiece. It starts at the world please. Straight after the word please you can hear the word longer. When Vic sings me you can hear the word earth in the background. I didn't believe it when I first read it either, but listen. It's there. I thought this was Vic saying this about himself at first, then I remembers that this song was written about a fan that committed suicide. Vic watched her goodbye video, and I can't say for sure, but I can guess that this is what she says in it.

The flamenco breakdown gets me every time ! Absolutely love this song 😭

Almost 10 year later, this song still remains in my top 10 songs of all time. Not just PTV songs. The way Vic belts out "im sorry but ive made up my mind" absolutely breaks me. The salsa section is so well done and probably my favorite musical breakdown of all time. The dedication of the track to Olivia Penpraze was so nice of the members. PTV has always been a band that has poured everything into their music, but you can tell this track was so special to them. They poured their heart and soul and then some into this one and thats what makes it my favorite PTV song.

I told my mom the story behind this song earlier when she tried to say that screaming was satanic. No, mom, it shows emphasis and passion.

After hearing that this was made for a fan who had killed herself, I went to look up the lyrics and wow.. "Please, don't take this out on me, 'Cause you're the only thing that's keeping me alive. And I don't wanna wait for the down-set date 'Cause I would rather end it all tonight. And if I mean anything to you, I'm sorry, but I've made up my mind." This part of the song closely relates to a part in her goodbye video. She had said sorry to anyone who truly cared about her, but it was hard to see that they actually did. Hence the line, "I'm sorry, I can't see that you truly love me." Wow, this really hurt me. I'm glad to see a band who cares so much about their fans, and I wish that people didn't have to hurt the way they do.

I remember in high school everyone including me was depressed and there was about 1 suicide every month that the principal had to address over the loud speaker. It was probably mainly my generation when Facebook and KZread and smart phones killed everything rather than enriching life. When people stop being friends to you, it's time to kill yourself. That's what Facebook and high school life in general teaches us.

Looking back on what I was like a year ago is actually insane how different I act, speak, look, etc. Went from flowery long-haired girly girl to chopping all my hair off, wearing band tees every other day, and listening to punk rock, pop punk, and "screamo" music like my life depends on it

Just love this song ❤️! Pierce the Veil is becoming one of my favorite bands. The lyrics and guitar solo just hit . I am glad my little brother reminded me about them ! I remember always liking their name but hadn’t listened to much of their songs before.
