For me I've never fully accepted anything and probably never will, but seeing stories of other guys like yourself and being able to relate help me understand it's not just me and I'm not alone. Thank you.

I just lost my driver to suicide Friday evening :( it was completely unexpected. I've gone through so many briefs on suicide awareness and I keep trying to go over everything in my head and I swear I never seen any signs he was suicidal. Its probably because he was, he's just told a story that would make anyone uncomfortable if you witnessed it and its a moment that will stay with you no matter what, but speaking about it is a way of dealing with it and not letting it overcome you. It takes a lot to do what he just did in this video, Thank you to your Brother In Law Lunkers.

It is because of these brothers that share their stories have a love for God and country and have risked their lives and fought for the very freedom that each and everyone of us American's love and cherish. Because of them we can enjoy a day out on the lake fishing with our families and friends...

Exactly, Also it should make us think of us fighting amongst ourselves because of some election results. Living in a first world country makes us sometimes take for granted the very reason we are living in a free first world country.... Because of these guys who give away their privileges so we can have ours. How selfish we can be sometimes

My father was E.O.D. Afghanistan he is now homeless unless his truck counts and he works all over the place he was first deployed in 2002 he was there for about 18 months got shipped to Iraq then was stationed back in Afghanistan on the bomb squad he was one of 3 survivors of his group or whatever then got ambushed the taliban shot down the gunners he was injured he was shot in the chest and somehow he managed to survive then I was born a month later while he was still in Afghanistan then got shipped out a couple of times before he was relieved of duty. Then in 2012 he got divorced because my mother wasn't okay with him being gone so they went their separate ways and then when he couldn't get custody of either my sister or I he tried to kill himself but his mother stopped him. Then a year went by and then his mother started blaming him for the horrible life that she had but she never let her son meet his father and she still blamed him for her life and that he should be her servant. Another year went by and his therapy dog dori he had had her since his first deployment had a stroke and dori kept my dad going and since I am somewhat disabled I had a black lab but she gave it to her friend who's sun was depressed but he already has a German shepherd and a husky and he ends up getting my dog. I thinks there is something wrong with that but back to the story after the stroke dori kept going then 2 months later she had a heart attack and still kept going and 6 months later she had a huge stroke and still kept going and then we had to put her down and my mother did this behind his back by the way my father was working in Nevada and this year he started getting out of debt and started making some money and I took him fishing with my grandfather he caught some croakers and catfish but it changed him today he is in Florida trying to get back in the military to finish out his career for the new boss but that is his story

Zach Bartlett my grandpa never once talked about Vietnam he even refused while my dad was growing up and my gma has never heard anything about it, but he came back a heavy drinker and deathly afraid of bats and spiders which he wasn't afraid of before. My dad said once as a kid a bat flew in the house and my grandpa started crying in the corner, someone who never cried and was tough as nails. Even as a child I could tell that he was ashamed and scarred from whatever happened over in the jungle

Just recently stumbled across your military Monday videos, love the idea and giving other vets a chance to talk about it is great! I have a brother on his second tour right now so I've seen how PTSD and all that stuff has effected him but talking about it seemed to help the most. Love the videos keep em coming!

thank you so much for doing these military Mondays. I think it's very helpful to get the stories off your chest and I feel it's important that we who have not had to endure this hear the stories and the reality of what happened and continues to happen over there. the media will only give watered down accounts. from me and my family we thank you, your brother in law and all men and women who have served, continue to serve and whom made the ultimate sacrifice.

I'm way late to this series. I've enjoyed listening and I appreciate you sharing. It narrates what is and was really going on over there. Its too easy to become complacent and think everything is fine as an average civilian. These stories provide detail and depth to the harsh reality of the enemy's persistence.

I think what you are doing is great helping these veterans just vent everything out to people that want to hear it over KZread as opposed to a counseling session or program where they may feel pressured or put on the spot if this gets big I really feel it can help a lot of servicemen and women
