Thank you for all of your efforts. I enjoyed the videos and hearing all the stories.
Sorry I didn’t to see it live since I am at work but I am catching up. Thank you guys for this presentation and all you do.
My ancestor, PVT John Warwick - Co H. 26th NC, survived the slugfest with the 24th Michigan on 01 JUL, rested on 02 JUL, and made the Pickett-Trimble- Pettigrew charge on 03 JUL....captured vicinity of the union line by the 12th NJ. Bravery and valor.

One must wonder how John Warwick survived those two fights. Bravery, valor and don’t forget honor.

My ggf, his brother and cousin all captured at the Angle 8th Va.
It's so frustrating when some of the battle days don't fall on the weekend. You guys do a fantastic job and i love the live streams. Thankful to catch aa i can during the work day.
(ALWAYS ) Excellent Doug Wayne Kris Sarah and yes GARY. Loving it Thank you
Thanks so much for your Gettysburg 161 series. I love it. I’ve always had respect for what the soldiers sacrificed, but this video in particular painted a more vivid picture when showing the terrain features up close. I have an even deeper understanding of how terrible this attack was. Thanks for all you do. Great job by all!
Excellent as usual ... good to see Wayne and Doug
Magnificent. Thank you from New Zealand.
My great granduncle died near the Copse of Trees, 7th Michigan on the 3rd
Thanks!

Thanks!
Loving these videos great job guys 😎👍
Outstanding content for Gettysburg 161! Wish I could be there on anniversary dates, but this is a close 2nd! In fact, I'm seeing aspects of the battle that I probably would not have seen had I been there, so .... Great videos! You guys and gals are fantastic!
Great video as usual!
Col. Doug Douds is exceptional. Love all the team but as a former soldier he talks about this is a soldier.
So surreal and starstruck when i saw y'all out there today. Sure hope i didn't get too close or linger in the background. Y'all are the best!
Fantastic content! Thanks very much
Watching from Southern Illinois
Garry, Wayne, Doug, Kris, and Sarah - you are all amazing. Thanks for all you do for the ABT and our nation. RCR, Haymarket, VA
Even with it being well covered ground there is so much to ponder and learn about the clash of armies July 1 - 3 (and the lead up to the battle and the aftermath that cost Meade overall command.) Fantastic job as always by the ABT and associated experts who provide such illuminating content.
You All could have gone for another 3 episodes, and I still would have watched every minute. 😅😊 Great job on the walk 🎉👍
I recently learned that George Sears Greene is my 5th cousin. I have grandfathers that fought for the South. Didn’t know I had relatives that fought for the Union as well.
Great presentation. I lost my great great grandfather at Vicksburg in 1863. These presentations give voice to these men. Salute 🫡
THANK YOU NCWM for displaying the relics!! The relics return to where they were worn!!!!!
Cool artifacts with Cushing belt and Webb sword!
Great walk, informative and unique viewing perspectives.
17:35 - Col Douds discussed the landscape here in one of your videos a few years ago, and after seeing it, I visited and walked that section of the field and that was when I really GOT what the confederate soldiers were up against. But that first AHA! was thanks to Doug's explanation of it. Thank you!
I was so moved to see Lt Cushing’s belt back at the place of his death. So chilling but in a beautiful way! I encourage folks to check out Cushing’s MOH event from 10 years ago
Excellent Video, every year I learn more about Gettysburg
I really like this presentation. I'm very happy you mentioned the Tennesseans and Alabamains in the mix with Armistead! (I had a relative in the 14th Tn. ) As you were mentioning this you panned across the 14th Conn. marker. Right in front of that is where the 14th Tn flag was captured. (Technically does that mean the Tennesseans got further than the Virginians?)
Man Gibbons was a beast.
Gary said could stand and talk for 5 hrs at the angle … wish he did absolutely love it …. You are all amazing particularly love how Sarah plays a bigger roll in ABT videos as the years go by … history telling often dominated by men love she’s bucking the trend
Thanks for the recognition of the 11th Mississippi.
Sara is awesome
What books are all the maps from? Great videos!!

Will there be an end to part 3 or was that it?
That 4 cornered Austrian bayonet. I found one of those on the Seven Pines battlefield years ago and had not seen one since. Now I want to find out how many outfits carried that weapon.
Great grandfather with first Virginia told my father he saw Kember shot. Was then hit passed out woke up prisoner.
Question: is that the exact same rock wall as was present in the charge? Has it changed at all since the battle? Could we call the rocks, “witness rocks”? It seems as thought the height of the wall at the angle itself is quite minimal. So were the Union troops basically laying prone or kneeling to shoot?
What effect did the demi-brigade consisting of the 80th NY and a PA regiment commanded by Col. Theodore Gates have on clearing the Slashing, in your opinion?
How accurate/original are the rock walls? When were they built/rebuilt? Thank you!
Was the trees really the point of battle, many argue that it could be Ziegler grove.
Lt Benedict captured who? He didnt mean to say Hancock, right?
These epexegeses (plural) are nonpareil!
I bet the people in Gettysburg had wished they had taken their fighting somewhere else
I have confirmed that I had 5 gg grandfathers at Gettysburg
Should rebuild the avenues.
Should this still be called Picketts Charge? I think that this should be looked into
Just got back but little round top was closed.
was shocked that the park wasn't busy on such important Anniversary days?
I was depressed for a long time and I looked useless and bad.
@28:33 - With DNA technology what it is today, I think a properly planned and observed swab of that belt could maybe result in tying it to him? **IF** we think that may be a bloodstain.
Should talk about July 4th what army's r doing
Thanks to all. Great stuff as usual
29:07 in freaking credable
The title, ‘Pickett’s Charge’, contains some slight humor, but it has been lost over the decades. A ‘picket' would never charge but served to warn of an enemy’s approach.
I’ve seen the maps and have a pretty good idea of the battlefield on July 3rd on paper but this video hasn’t gotten the terrain anywheres close to match with my mental bearings. Could have been any field anywhere in the US cause there was visually negligible vertical of a hill especially when the speaker kept switching directions as the battle played out. Sorry for the criticism but sometimes enthusiasm isn’t a replacement for competence. Hopefully this is constructive criticism.
Sorry, Doug, but your comment about Cushing being the last Civil War soldier to be awarded the Medal of Honor is no longer true. Two privates part of Andrew’s Raiders were just awarded the Medal of Honor this week.
Great Video, Thanks for Sharing ! Remember to Check out the Great 1993 Movie " Gettysburg " !😊
