Since you have switched to the walker mowers has your customers noticed a difference in the looks of their properties? The cut quality,stripes,etc?

Mulching is free fertilizer! its neat that you can pop different decks on.

I have a client that is a machine shop, we made a v mulch plate for the standard 48 deck, it goes in and out with 2 bolts, cost about 150 bucks, sharpen the blades a little further, works good except for really heavy grass situations, but it's good cause with the blower disconnect we can go-to mulch to collection in 3 mins, let me know if you want a plate

I'd have to take some, hopefully I'll get a chance tomorrow, depends when I switch the deck back the z aerator is on the Walker at the moment

we hardly bag anything. all is side discharged but, we go through the yards and blow the clumps and excess grass around. easier than bagging in my opinion.

Can't wait to see the video on that deck in action. I also love the idea of mulching but it's​ nothing for grass in my area to grow 5-7" a week in between cuts from April-end of June then again from Sept-Nov. Not sure it wouldn't still leave clumps entire.

CountrysideLawnNY i have experience mulching and if your grass grows that fast you wouldn't be satisfied with mulching

That's what I was thinking. I'm mainly considering the in-between mowing during summer months.

CountrysideLawnNY that might be worth it but if the grass is shorter during those months you should easily be able to side discharge with the Scag and have no visible clippings

Well ya I know that. I've been doing this 19 years and dispersing grass I have down like a science. My concern is the Walker. That's what this post is about

have you ever tried using mulching blades on your regular deck and leave the back open and let it blow the clippings out the back and see how it looks. i don't know if it would work for you. just a thought.

one man show lawn care when I can I open the back to blow out the grass but when I'm close to houses I can't since it blows it so far. Haven't tried mulching blades on a collecting deck though.

how did the mulching deck work out? did you have to do anything to the GHS besides just adding the deck?

i have heard people say that they have to add a blower lock out, (thing a majigi) to stop the blower from spinning. or they remove the belt.

@@JohnLeyMystikmusic I got the blower lockout. It's pretty handy. Guys hit a rock and bent the blower fin. We disconnected so we could at least mulch til the blower got fixed.
