I like using Picaro's for Hybrid momento builds to get like 6 yellows, 4 red, 2 blues that i like to use in legendary

One armor core is useless. 2 is minimum. Obliterate is much better choice then trying to maintain 200 stacks. Ceska/grupo combo is king.

I'm almost always running 6 reds anyways, but it is worth pointing out that when your running a crusader shield the first skill (or armor) tier gives the shield +40% shield health, where all other additional tier give a roughly 20% additional increase over the previous tier. There is a meaningful difference in its survivability when getting that first tier increase, whether that's from a skill or armor core.

I just wanna say something and Idk if I am right or not but this might be just me. On strikers if crit damage is bit lacking, let say ACS 12. I will do grupo just to get that crit dmg over 100%. If crit is over 100% then I do fox's prayers, just my personal preference as it makes my dps little less on rng based. But overall I think if crit is over 100%. Difference of fox's prayers and grupo is very ultra small, it's around 1% I think. It could be more, could be less but not much different for what I said.

I've always wondered is would a blue core Fenris holster (for those focused on their armor total) be equal to Picaros (when you consider you'll get brand set bonus and 2 red attributes instead)

So the memento does that count towards the weapon damage on the holster or its it cores only sorry for my explanation

To play devil’s advocate, I could sort of see that picaro’s build with coyotes and 4 strikers working pretty well in casual solo legendary runs. Striker chest can be utilized to its full potential most of the time in that specific context, as well as the incursion. But, to be honest, if I were to go down that route I’d much prefer switching to a palisade holster, whether it was with a blue core or a red

And what to run if you already have Ceska and Grupo, Palisades or Walker Harris?

Only point would be a 6 Red 3 Yellow build but for strikers goons, that will mean being stuck with the ninja backpack or no exotic armor at all so yeah, better stick with a full DPS build and with skills effective at tier 0.

So if I'm running 4 piece Strikers that has chest and backpack as Strikers, with Coyote's, what should I fill the last slot with? What slot and what piece?

I'd go ceska or grupo depending on if you are running an smg or not. (Due to smg's having the crit chance attribute) The striker chest is pretty much only worth it in very few scenarios, because of the difficulty of maintaining the stacks in a realistic setting. So unless you are making a build for legendary or something, I would run the chest as the HE piece. (If you want a good starter build for legendary, check out Hutchler)

Contractors gloves would be best. Gives ever so slight more damage than foxes prayers kneepads which is next best for the build you mention

Cesca or Gruppo or Fox's Prayer (for more Dttooc) or Contractor's Gloves (for more Dta). The differences between them are small, but these are probably the best choices for a damage focused build. But you can find videos talking about this on his channel, I can personally recommend watching them.

Picarro is definitly 1 of the best in slot holsters, Contractors are one of the best in slot gloves...

if I am running that build I have about 47% chc with everything else chd. more often pve solo I have momento, soko chest blue obliterate with 4 striker with elmos and dark winter or oro and rail/shieldsplinter. works for me and my play style.

I think at this point ST Elmos and Striker plus whatever the hell you want is what is really going on rn. Its just so powerful.

For open world, it's 6 red 4 yellow, for me, not strikers. Capacitor hits 5-600k before momento stacks. Great utility for all around farming, hostage, CP bounties.

picaro holster has the 15 % weapon dmg is better then a 15% crit chance or crit dmg also you can have 1 of this attributes on it blue core 15% wdmg with crit chance you loose 15 crit dmg

He literally went over the math why it's not. 15 Weapon damage is better than 12 CHD. However, in instances where you could take a Grupo or ceska piece, for simplicity Grupo, it's 27 CHD vs 15 WD, and the CHD is better. The skill haste from Picaro's is a dead stat.

This video is overdue. For months I have been seeing everyone wearing this holster and for months I was baffled by it. When I tested the holster on anything I just lost a bit of damage. Why trade a second stat & stat bonus?? Adding one blue core can be semi worth it BUT ONLY if you are running a shield. T0 Shield = 1,386,971 HP - T1 Shield = 1,917,869 -> 38.2% increase 1 blue = 22.6% more armor / 38.2% better shield / Increase in Regen & AOK totals Dod has pointed out to me that the loss of 1 red is 6.5% DPS I personally run 2 blues on most builds. I dont care about the extra armor as far as stopping damage, I only care about the recovery jump I get from the extra armor, I will add as a caveat that in all of these builds the weapons are +15 / +25.

I think another benefit of Picaros is if you want to unlock 50% Mag size (3pc brazos. If u are gonna use brazos for that, it’sa no brainer to wear picaros. If you run a high rpm weapon that can clear that extra 50% mag in less than 1 second, you’ve essentially increased your dps by 50%. I agree it’s not best in slot, I don’t run it with most my builds, but that’s just one factor I think you left out, unless I missed it

I find it BS that there is no Weapon DMG attribute for its core. Massive was planning on giving to us, but backpaddled when they thought it would be too OP. I don't even use this holster because of its poor excuse for it not to go full red.

Not really worth it on strikers. Just run coyote's mask and striker bp, kneepads, gloves, holster and a chest of your choice with obliterate. I run that with Elmo's, rock n' roll, and a W&H chest with obliterate. Even at 3-3 red to blue you're going to hit 500k-800k crits and with striker's shield with a 5% damage per enemy mod you can peak your crits over 1m for door/spawn camps. That's at 12 or 13 expertise by the way.

Do a review of matador and sokolov chest vs soko chest and backpack with AR. Armor on all items crit change and damage.

I assume you are using this in pvp, the matador version will win. It will do less burst but the extra 2% up to 6% bonus armor is more than the burst deficit, especially with max armor

the only thing I can see picaros being useful for is skill/weapon hybrids by putting a yellow core on and getting the skill tier from the brand bonus with a second piece. I can't ever see running one of those so /shrug

I was going to do that. However, I was using technician, so I didn't need the 2 piece. I did standard dps build with 1 piece ceska, 1 groupo, coyote's, fox's, contractor's, and picardo's. If you use the mechanical animal, you can get to skill teir 6 and overcharge. The skills don't do anything like as much damage as on a proper skill build, but it's definitely a viable option. I'm hitting for about 700-800k with the AR and about 120k with the turret. I can't remember what the drone hits for. Obviously less than the turret, but I can't remember exactly how much less. Sometimes, I run the healing chem instead of the turret because it massively benefits from the extra skill tiers.

Before I gained the wonderful knowledge of build theory and knowing what would be best in slot (BIS), I used to run this exact setup for incursion. Nowhere else. Keeping 200 Stacks is almost impossible. Whoever said this build was godly for open world PvE content must be scraping the bottom of the barrel. After finding out that a 6 red core build using Picaro's for the free armor... Is useless. 1 armor attribute to get all of 900k armor (from about 750k) is not worth trading crits. Crits is quite literally where your damage comes from! Use ceska instead. Or, if your crit chance is high enough, use Grupo. Picaro's, at least in my opinion, is really only good in PvP. Same way Ninjabike backpack is. Everybody and their mom is running Ninjabike + 3 piece umbra + picaro's + whatever gear piece and the Capacitor. Same with system corruptiom builds, 4 piece SC, unbreakable chest and picaro's holster (4 or 5 blue cores, 1 or 2 red cores). You could go with a combat medic build as well, 3 piece future initiative, ninjabike backpack, picaro's holster and a murakami chest piece with Empathic resolve. Free blue from picaro's, free blue from ninja, and you take technician for the skill tier and healing. Take a flatline AR, future at full armor grants 15% weapon damage, picaros grants another, and a flatline socom MK16 grants another 15%. If built properly, you can keep 6 skill tiers, 3 blues, and 3 reds on a healing build with 240% repair skills. Can ditch picaro's for regular brazos holster and do armor/repair skills/skill haste for a slight boost in skill haste Youre very much right, Picaro's is good but it isn't at the same time. Very niche builds use it and most are probably pvp builds

85% of players are casual and just want to play without doing r and d about builds. Out of the last 15%, 2% are KZreadrs who half understand the math and tell the other 85% what to build. Thats why ... most "why do players" in any game, let alone Division , do anything.

I find stacking builds (Heartbreaker/Striker) for open world are underwhelming. So to claim it's the best is just a big facepalm moment.

Honestly my question to you is why are you running meta and hating on people who are clearly having fun and it works for them?... Why don't you run what you want and have people enjoy themselves with what they want?... Fun builds are challenging, meta builds are boring... Why don't you run a headshot build since that's actually a harder hitter in the end?... GG on the explanation for those who were looking to learn and I'm all for it, but in the end I run fun builds that look dumb and just outshine on legendary runs as I facetank 2 chungas with 2 blues...

Have you ever run a legendary where your team is only running healer skills and defensive talents on a 5 red dps build for fun? And straight up demolishing said mission. There is more to this game then numbers... I can comfortably assume you don't own a headshot dps build either, yet here you are... and I gave him props on his explanation because in all ends it reached you, because you couldn't figure it out and that's fine...

Also, yes, I've ran legendaries with people running healing skills & defensive talents and they're slow. Don't see much demolishing from them. There's definitely more to the game than numbers, but they're incredibly relevant. Why would you have a headshot DPS build? It can out DPS a Crit build, but requires headshots and heads to hit, which isn't as reliable as crit.

@ic3so976 That's great that you can build, considering that's what this game does and has us coming back for more. On this one thing we do agree on is that headshot does out dps a crit based build that depends on rng (random number generators). Why, you ask, because that's challenging and that makes the game fun. In the end, you better yourself as a player, be it in pve or pvp. I'm also sorry you had a bad experience with players running random stuff and it not working out. In the end this is just a game and you play how you want to play it. That's been my point since we started this trade.

@@Fl4nkcAp You can aim for heads with a crit build, and again, doesn't have the limitation of having no damage against targets without heads. You can play it how you want to play it, but there's zero reason to play with something that is objectively worse in every feasible way. I'm an advocate for play your way, but we should also help people who are playing with something that's just plain worse than what they could be doing.
