It truly got you by the feels...I absolutely love this version

The beauty of Rammstein: it's not just good music. It is Art capital A. They blow you away with heavy songs, They get you crying with sensitive emotional songs, with gorgeous melodies. It is Theater from the highest quality. Their videoclips are better than Hollywood blockbusters. And their live shows are a not to be missed experience. Their pyro's , their backdrop, everything is the best of the best. Like we did not forget about the Beethovens and Mozarts from the past, I can only hope Rammstein will still be remembered in a couple of hunderd years to come. They really are from that level and fully deserve it.

Till's smile can make even the Joker run away screaming!

Just like in the video where they are whipping themselves. I watched something about how they didn't really like the song or video in general so they got really drunk and filmed that scene..that is being an artist. Til lindemanns solo project song "ish hasse kinder" is another one...there is a separate 21 minute mini movie that plays out like a Quinton Tarantino film where he's taking real hits by the prison guard that you can see he has in the songs official video... I love that man, he's so crazy yet humble & down to earth....but I think he really needs a big ol hug

It made me smile when you spoke about your colleague not understanding why her daughter wanted to see Rammstein. My 27 year old son doesn't understand why his 57 year old mother wants to see them or even listen to them and love them! We come from all walks of life but all of us have a passion for the artistry and experience that is Rammstein.

I’m in the Uk and am going to see Rammstein this summer on my own in Berlin and somewhere in Poland. I will be 63! So great is the love ❤ It doesn’t matter how old we are now, we are the generation that grew up going to see Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zep, later Van Halen, Scorpions etc perform, so our musical tastes never change! Rock music in all its genres is for life! 🌹🎶❤️

Reading the comments I'm happy to see I'm not the only one old man going to their concert. I'm 72 and have been their fan for 15-16 yrs, from when I discovered them, learned a little German, too. This year, in 3 months, I'm going for the first time to their concert, in the "feuerzone" in Padova. I am a little scared, but can not wait for the hour to go. My daughter supports me, but doesn't like them, or that, at 71, I tatooed the Rammstein logo on my chest.

Saw them live in 2013 and they ended the show with this version of the song. I still have chills.

The smile says it all (especially the second). It is not one of triumph or kindness. But rather one with regret. Then the smile dies with the realization that the misdeed cannot be undone, no one will understand or forgive it. He remains broken in the dark, guilty and alone... until the cycle begins again. And while that's not really his intention, he can't escape... a poor tormented creature.

I'm so happy you found it so moving. It really is something special I think. The way it affected you could be seen all over your face!

The location for this video was the Beelitz sanatorium near Berlin (built 1905-1907). This was a neurological clinic for tuberculosis patients in Eastern Germany, which was later used by the Russians as a military base. Today the large site and its buildings are empty and are often used as a filming location for TV and music productions! There were many sanitary facilities in the buildings, including clinical bathrooms that were used by patients. This explains the depression in the ground that can be seen in the video. You are absolutely right - this version is easy to overlook. And yet, this piano version along with a few other songs (like "Zeit" just to mention one) show that Rammstein is way more than meets the eye. On the surface level they are bunch of controversial rockers with a huge love for fire, but deep (or maybe not so deep) underneath they are Artists with a capital A with their own visual and musical language, very insightful observers of the darkest corners of the human soul - something less and less common these days. I think I can say that Goethe would be proud of Till :)

hearing my heart burns really hurts myself physically. the song itself is perfect, the clip puts it to another level. what media nowadays makes rammstein as bad guys is horrible. germany has no one else in the music world who is better than til and his band. we all hope rumours are just rumours. besides the fact: rammstein is best music performance.

I've played alot of e-sport with dutch people and they were really nice. Also had one from Germany in our team and he were one of the nicest guy I ever came around. We had a calling for attack in Battlefield that was "Feuer Frei" and we just stormed the position! ^^ I've been in love with Rammstein since 1999 when I first heard them.

every time i travelled to the netherlands i felt welcome,i had so many nice encounters with strangers . In my experiance the Dutch a open and joyfull folks. Eaven on my first trip when we were a bunch of stupid drunken german kinds coming for your weed, a nice lady saw us on a canal and asked if we could help her get her child out of the boot. The openness and friendliness of the duch people i is outstanding.

Just wanted to say, I loved that in you previous reactions you got the Sandmänchen reference and before that the hate reference (weirdly enough someone wrongly corrected you. Btw the story of Dunham’s was exactly what you can hear: an egocentric woman (Du), that is also hateful (Du hasst), and even hates her own boyfriend (Du hasst mich), has the audacity to ask him the big question (Du hast mich gefragt) - of course he is first speechless but while she expects the yes she get a very harsh no)

Thanks for doing this, it's rather minimalistic for a Rammstein song, but the haunting piano with an even more haunting Lindemann is all it needs. And the T-shaped bassin in the video, where he crowls back into, it was the one the children from the original version video were kept until their youth was sucked out of them and they finally broke out of their prison, burning down the assylum to grounds... this minimalistic setting (in comparison to the original video) is also enough to create this dark atmosphere. But... How about a band that is so metal, that a live show from them was ranked by Metal Hammer upon the best 10 recorded live shows ever? With the twist they aren't even a metal band, have no guitars nor bass and make most of their instruments themselves (while also using loopers)? How about a song from their very first live show ever played, which happened to have been in your home country by the way, at Castlefest? While the band is based in Denmark with members also coming from Norway and Germany? How about a song from Heilung, I'd suggest In Maidjan: kzread.info/dash/bejne/naGLtrxse8nUiKg.html

Sorry, second reaction to your lovely reaction video. Like you, tears run down my cheeks. Till is such an exceptional Artist. My wife is not into Rammstein, but when I showed her this video she wanted to see it five times in a row. It is that beautiful and captivating. A couple of days ago I saw Rammstein live together with my two daughters and a friend. They blow your mind away. In the audience people from I guess 8 till 85. It appeals to all ages. The atmosphere is just great. A security guy told me that metal concerts are the best gigs. A friendly, well behaved, enjoying their time, huge crowd. Even with 60.000 people gathering everyone seems to thorougly enjoy themselves. And the rain was pooring down heavely on us. It did not matter. We were at Rammstein. Nothing else matters 😉
