Once a champion for WBC, Jo-ha (Lee Byung-hun) now is a boxer who can’t find work. By chance he runs into his mother (Youn Yuh-jung), whom he hasn’t met for 17 years, and having no place to stay, follows her to her house. There, for the first time, he meets Jin-tae (Park Jeong-min), a brother he didn’t know he had. While he feels uncomfortable around Jin-tae who has Savant Syndrome, he decides to stay at their house to save money to go to Canada.

Park Jung Min is the stand out star of this film. I was completely blown away by his performance in this, with a great casting of Lee Byun Hun and Youn Yuh Jong as his mother and older brother. His piano scenes are mesmerising.

Yes, I can't just imagine how park jung min learned piano playing soooo perfectly in just 6 months.....I.....couldnt even perfect my Debussy ha ha...well,.. 6 hours a day of practice must be very helpful. I take pride in this actor's determination and he deserves the highest acting award!!!!!

@@whitehazegruntz250 Apparently he never even touched a piano before he took the role. Then in about 6 months, he was able to learn to a level where he's actually playing those pieces himself without a music double. I forget how much he practiced a day, but it was some inhuman hours. Practically did nothing but eat, sleep, and play piano. Even the orchestra members who performed with him in the ending were all amazed at how good he was.
the fact that the bigger star here didn't outshine his co-stars is just proof of how good he is at working with people...he blended so well with everyone and at the same time everyone was so good..wish I had watched this movie sooner..

We all know that Lee Byung Hun is an awesome actor but I have to hand it to Park Jung Min playing the role of autistic piano prodigy as outstanding awesome performance.With Yuh Jung Yoon, the perfect casting made this film, one to watch again and again. I cried a river in this film.

I’m so happy Korea is creating more and more films that have autistic characters. This is a great way to promote autism awareness so people can be more understanding that they are too just regular people like us. Being an autism mom I felt really emotional watching this. Side note this disorder is a spectrum so not all autistic people are all the same. They all have different abilities and behaviors.

The issue is there r Manny things people dont care about unless its there childs issue or something. Please dont take that as a shoot at u . Just a example of how if its someone close to you. Your more likely to care. All kinds of people with issues are mistreated and not understood. It may be spectrum or mental health or what ever. People are taught how to be normal but not how to treat the ab normal. Its sad and how it is. At the same time i see other peoples side to. They feel when we do this that we r saying the needs of the few out weight the needs of the manny and i guess i can see that. Doesn't make it right tho

Yeah, I wish my parents were educated about it before beating me continuously for 16 years because they thought I just wanted attention. They didn’t even bother to seek professional help. I can now barely talk to people and I am unable to get help myself (currently 20) as I can’t communicate to people so I am just lost and have given up (plus from severe anxiety in communicating now- I will never be able to seek help myself (I can’t even do laundry by myself - my father takes it home and brings up clean clothes) I asked my parents to set it up but they said they don’t want it on my record as I would struggle to get a job)
Sometimes the disable peoples are more able than us..thats the fact tht we shoud embrace fully

I know that you don’t mean to do so… but by referring people with disabilities as other than ‘us’ implicitly denies us our humanity. You and I are both people… you just didnt have the car accident that I had. Being ‘othered’ by people is the worst part of discrimination.
Lee Byung-hun is really my favorite Korean actor. I get to watch every clip or film that he is in because he is so good at playing any role he is casted in. Being an older brother among 2 siblings in our family, I can relate so much in his role in this movie.

I rewatch this movie regularly. I've seen it multiple times but I can't help it: I tear up every time. It goes right through my heart. A MASTERPIECE!!!

This has to the most remarkable episode from any production I've seen to date. It is truly superb, even elegant in an outside the box sort of way, and the actors are surpassingly excellent in their roles.
This is absolutely NUTS! Obviously nothing short of excellent! Clippings are inadequate. We want to see the entire movie with English subtitles..as well as others. Brilliant acting! Wonderful music!
I cried so much watching this movie. Lee and Yoon are both great actors but what got me crying is Park Jung Min.. he definitely shines in this movie. He feels the music as he plays the piano. Great cast. Highly recommended if only for Park's acting.

my reason for watching this movie was Lee Byung-hun, but man Park Jung-min's a really good actor
The older brother, unlettered and a lifelong loser, becomes an indefatigable advocate for his brother. And he is really good looking as well.
Tears of happiness, i know Lee Byung Hun is a great actor but accolades goes to Park Jung Min, i have had the honor of being with & watching Autistic Savants perform & if i didn't know, i would of truly believed that Park Jung Min had Autistic Ability, hence the tears. I hope this will be on Australian Netflix, i'd love to see this series. 🥰 Bravo! 🙏

Park jung min here is so excellent! This movie is so heartbreaking. Lee Byun huns acting noone can beat.
lol the way lee byung-hun tries to nod and groove to their piano playing as jo-ha... this was probably the most unique character he's ever acted and so has become my fave performance of his
Playing dueling pianos is tough on our best days. This is why we should never take anyone for granted. It takes an opportunity to bring out the light.

Park Jeong-min is such an unbelievable actor, he can play any role. He's a Rapper in Sunset in My Hometown, a gambler in Tazza: One Eyed Jack, a transvestite in Deliver Us from Evil, now an autism. He's a genius.
Hardwork and passion for music and life. can't hold back virtuosity. Even for disability or a fragile mind and broken heart. It shows how they love life.
I think in everyone they feel twisted up in some way, and when you see this beauty displayed from the young man it gives us all hope...

Cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas autant pleuré. It's a long time since i've cried so much.
The true courage and victory is to one who can over come the objectivity of judgment from others not unlike themselves with emotional degradation in the same context, yet be so far beyond the capacity of others to a level that its not even a badge to be worn by those who do not even recognize the trivial worth of anothers whom carry a flawed judgment or worse. The one who did exactly as they intended and moved others in the process...this is poetry..... the power of those we do not understand is profoundly more moving if we could humble our selves to see the world through their eyes...I imagine its a far more simple and beautiful place to be them. I stand humble the shadows of the autistic and alike.
I DEF RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!!! IT'S A TEAR JERKER AND VERY EMOTIONAL, IT ALSO HAS A LOT OF LESSONS. ALSO I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE YOUNGER BROTHER HERE IS THE FATHER IN HELL BOUND. HE'S SUCH A GOOD ACTOR!!!
