Thank you. This was the best tutorial on using clipping masks I have watched - and trust me I have watched a lot of them in the past few weeks. Not only do you know Photoshop, you are a gifted artist and it is a pleasure to watch you work!

+Trini Trent I am so glad to hear that you have been learning from the videos on the channel! And thank you for the kind words. I always found that a lot of tutorial videos either go too fast or skip over important details and I make it a point to try and teach and explain things in a way that will be easier for people to follow, so that really means a lot. Thanks again and I hope that you will keep watching! :)

P.S: Hard to find someone that explains well and clear so I can focus, and I have seen too many, so far you are the best! Most are focused on their haircuts, looks and to show their talent. And when someone wants to learn more it's annoying...believe me. So Bless you and thanks again.

wonderful tutorial! I have a doubt: Is there a way to make a clip mask that affect another clip mask as if that clip mask would be a layer? in other words, instead of adding clipping mask in the same hierarchy to an original layer...make levels of clipping masks?

Why does the original photo (that's supposed to be transparent) have a grey background?

  • @Williy_Nilly

I'm not sure how (or if) you separated the original image from the gray background, then have the man in a separate layer with a transparent background. It complicates not having the same layers as you to follow along.
