We had a Vector battery charger which displayed E04 (open cell) when attempting to charge a battery. Since no service documentation was available it sat for four years until I decided to take a look at it again. Since it was in a hot outdoor environment I checked all the electrolytics...they were all OK. So were all the power devices. Checked for +5v on the sense amplifiers...also OK. Checked the precision resistors...also OK. Turned out to be an open coil on the output relay. $7 part later and it's working like new. Nice to have such skills in a throwaway society.

Hi been trying to repair my phonic 1062 deluxe power mixer which has a badly blown ceramic capacitor that I just can't figure out the specs .1:57 was wondering what kind of ceramic capacitor is that,the one that is just after that red and black cable

have the same mixer. Everything works, but no soud.. Any idea on what it can be?

You mean the fan? Yes, the fan starts and stays on when the power is turned on.

I have one of these. Its works very well except for the EFX which isn't working at all. The EFX LEDs seem to be missing segments too. How can I get that schematic?
