Link to Windows has improved a ton gaining lots of great features and stability. Unfortunately they pretty much ruined it by taking away the ability to type your pin from your pc to unlock the phone. So if I want to stream the phone screen or open an app I have to pull out the phone and unlock it anyway. So now I have my phone in May hand unlocked. So what do I need the phone link on windows for? Actually what I use it for the most is getting my 2FA notifications instantly on my pc through the app. This make 2FA way more convenient than normal.

Even though I absolutely love my Duo 2, my gut tells me the duo is going down the same path as the Windows phone did. The OnePlus Open might be my replacement phone. I love the connect to Windows app, I used it with texting and one drive and when I used windows I'm still using Outlook, hoping thunderbird comes up with some sort of linking app for use on leniux mint OS.

Who the heck thought clicking on the photo would be the streaming option. So annoying. I was looking for that damn option. Thanks shane

I've had mine for about a month and it has been an amazing experience. Did a matt screen protection upgrade on the inner display on top of the protection that came with the phone and its even better, no finger prints no glare no visible crease and it just looks so much better. I left the original screen protection on for warranty reasons and also it gives it more protection and it is perfect like a sheet of paper, really recommend it

Looks awesome! I loved Phone Link. When Surface Duo went down, I stopped using Windows altogether and went back to the Chromebook because of the integration with my Pixel 7A. I don't know much about One Plus, but this makes me very interested in the device.

My Honor Magic V2 also has this integration with Link to Windows baked into the global ROM. My company doesn't allow me to use it on my work PC 😢it's a really great feature. File transfer works also fine.

Hey brother, whenever I use phone link I can't remember ever being able to make it span the entire screen. Is this like an editing trick or do you really have your phone link spanning your entire PC screen? And if so lol can you tell me how to do that? Also when you project your phone is there a way to make that larger or is that sort of locked to that phone aspect ratio?

My OPO screen failed 😢. I loved the phone but the level of fragility is just too much. It was my first folder, I adored the screen size but I've gone back to a candybar for the time being until foldables get a but mire robust.

OMG is the cross-device copy and paste thing only available for OnePlus Open or it's available for other OnePlus phones as well? Not having access to that function is the reason why I gave away my OnePlus 10T...

Hi Shane, quick cringe question, lol. I am not a techy, but I take videos with my One plus because I like the camera on it. Can I use Phone link to essentially drag and drop the video file from my phone to my computer's hard drive? I currently share the videos to dropbox over WIFI, which is really time consuming. It would be great if I could just drag and drop it onto the desktop - or is that not possible? Thanks in advance

Microsoft fixed this on several devices, but never updated it on Duo.

OnePlus open is a impressive phone, I don't believe fold 6 can compete with open, Samsung been lazy for many years with ultra and fold not improving almost anything and raising the price up and up.. can't wait for OnePlus open 2.

This foldable is till the only one I can consider a successor of my Duo 2... One IMPORTANT questions remains unanswered for me: Can the canvas mode run three games ACTIVLY at the same time? (Like having open 3 idle games). This is honestly one of my main applications for my Duo 2.

They're trying to make the z fold 6 an ultra fold 6 which the ultra phones are so bulky it doesn't even fit in your pocket very well

Now I just might purchase this phone now. Because I really think Samsung will never give me a wider screen on their folding devices. It may be a little wider but not as wide as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
