Just thought I should mention, Phoenix actually couldn't lift the spear in the anime. It's just a detail that always bugged me about the actual episode. Great animation, it was hilarious.

It amuses me that Edgeworth could easily lift and toss the spear at Phoenix in the anime and Phoenix just crumbles to the ground when he catches it because he has the strength of a squirrel apparently.
