Would like to point out that outside of court they always call each other without any honorifics, even upon first meeting again. They are simply Naruhodou and Mitsurugi to each other. I’m sad how most of Larry’s (er Laurice) phone call to Edgeworth about Phoenix falling into the river was trimmed down (the exchange in the game was waaaay more shippy with Edgeworth initially going to hang up on Larry for calling him at an ungodly hour before doing a 180 into terrified bf mode demanding answers once Larry mentions Phoenix being in danger). But that’s only a small critique in the grand scheme of an overall really well put together product with loads of great fan service and new content not featured in the games like the hospital visit.

One of them is Nui Sociere, and I find it funny because she said "I'm not a fujoshi, but this couple must be very popular" Then there's also Ange Katrina "What should I do if I become fujoshi (because of wrightworth)". It's not a meme. They have deliberately leaned into the ship after AA1 was widely interpreted as super gay. But they just don't make it canon bc they want to keep dangling the carrot in front of us to buy more games and consume more content
