I watched this one on TV. The Apple+ announcers seemed legitimately disappointed when the Phillies were doing well. They had nice graphics and fun anecdotes ready for the Braves. At one point (in the 7th inning?), they stopped talking about the game for 3 batters because they were telling a pointless story about one of the Braves players. Geeze.. I get they were the home team, but I felt like Apple+ announcers should have been a little more impartial.

This was a HUGE win. I would love to see them sweep the Braves, no easy task, but if they can at least split the next two games they'll leave Atlanta with a ten game lead. With a depleted lineup I was concerned about this series but winning game one was a very welcome relief.

A win today wold be extremely demoralizing for the Braves. Let's do it, Ranger! Time for a return to form.

I love how Philadelphia dominated the 2022 season, got scammed in a WS against the Astros, they jumped off to win game 1, and once the media started in on the storyline of "the first black manager to win a WS" i knew it was going to end bad for Philly, the team that was destroying teams, and a riva, the Astros, that was playing victim to being a "cheater" they were actually trying to garner sympathy for being wrongly accused, as if they didn't cheat lol, and then the Eagles dominated the 2022 season was the clearly better team in the Super Bowl and even with the mistakes they made lost to the officials to the Chiefs, the worlds biggest game and the field is slippery, weeks to prepare and the leagues most dominant pass rush can't get to mahomes, piles of cleats literally lined the sidelines, and people don't think a billion dollar industry entertainment industry isn't rigged??! lol Mahomes is clearly the next face of the NFL, we watched it for 20 years with the Patriots and Brady and the Kraft Family, now it's the Hunt family, are we seriously ignorning this lol?

I would normally not Go in for theories like this in most areas of life, but I do remember the 2008 WS when they had them play in a complete downpour up until the rays could tie the game because the commissioner told the teams before the game that he would not allow the championship to be decided by a rain shortened game, so basically they made them play until it was tied and then called the game immediately afterwards. It is sort of rigged, but we threw batteries 45 years ago (a week after Cleveland did it) so who cares about us right?

I live in South Carolina and can't watch a single Phillies game unless I pay for it and that's not going to happen. And, I'm not moving back to Philly just so I can watch the games for free. The notion that Turner is better than Betts is laughable. Thats why Betts was the favorite to win MVP before he got hurt. I love Turner but Mookie is both a Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Award winner. Turner is neither of these. Mookie can play the infield as well as outfield. He exciles at shortstop, second base and plays allbthre positions in the outfield. He also can hit leadoff, cleanup and DH. Need I say more??? Sure... He also hits for more power than Turner. Stop being a homer 😂😂
