I wish my dad was still alive to see how great our Phillies are now. Back in the middle 70s LA knocked the Phillies out of the playoffs every year. To see how they beat the dodgers these 3 games. Dad would have been a very happy man. Like I am these days. We walked to Connie Mack stadium in the 60s when I was a little kid. Always have loved the Phillies. Good or bad I stayed with my Phillies. Let's win it all this year and for the next few years.

Gotta grab a high end right handed reliever at the deadline. Call the Nats and try to acquire Kyle Finnigan. I love Alvarado however for whatever reason he always makes me nervous in the playoffs. I know Rob Thompson doesn't have a "solidified closer" however that's the only thing this team is missing... realistically Hoffman & Stram could fill in that role but it never hurts to have an even more loaded bullpen. Pitching wins championships! P.S Rojas has been a different player since coming back from AAA. Dombrowski has a decision too make. Keep your young prospects and roll with Rojas or make a splash at the deadline for Luis Robert, Jazz Chisholm or Lane Thomas?

  • @larrynielsen8789

Kyle Finnegan for the right price soon to be 33 but improving and generally healthy. Lane Thomas lifetime .250, decent arm, good foot speed, but Castey and Merrifield are right handed corner outfielders with more experience and Merrifield is heating up.

@@larrynielsen8789 Yeah technically Rojas's stock is going up so maybe he can be put into a deal to get Luis Robert so this way it's one less farm system guy we have too trade away. Many could argue that sure.. Rojas is playing well Right now however who's to say he doesn't go cold again in October? So curious to see if Dombron makes the move. I do like Jazz as well however hes been hurt soo much in the past that is it too good to be true that hes playing consistently. I like Lane Thomas however we need CF. That's my issue with Rooker.. would love to have him however hes been DHing in Oakland and Rob has expressed that he wants to keep the defense intact. So if we make an upgrade at CF then the defense needs to be there which goes back to Robert Jr. Maybe hes the guy after all.
