    I was so happy to find this video. I have spent over $300 trying to find a good replacement to this trimmer. None of the replacements work as well as this one. Unfortunately, after several years of use my battery is too weak to operate the trimmer. I did not want to disassemble it without knowing how it was assembled. Your video has supplied me with that information. Thank you!

    You can remove the outer shell of the cell to expose the interior surface for soldering. It's just a small smooth metal cap that's attached on the outside.

    Tks for the self dismantling guide video. Indonesia Philips dont provide repair service. I almost throw my C282 type clipper away until I found this video. C282 is even easier to dismantle. Simply but carefully pull out the metal that bind the 2 halves of the plastic casing and the casing would be easily splitted/dismantled into separate half. Am going out to seek and buy the replacement battery. God bless you richly ...

    Long, but very nice, esp. why one should avoid using normal battery, but instead use rechargeable battery. I would recommend this for anybody trying to experiment, and who may not have elaborate tool set. Because, no need to use a multi-meter (he /Prasoon used to show why normal battery won't work. Good show, keep it up !

    I tried changing the battery, but I faced an issue. Could you please guide? While removing the battery, one of the battery connectors which was originally machined-stuck to the battery, broke in half. While putting the batteries again, I wrapped a tiny piece of silver foil to increase the connector's height so that it can touch the battery terminal & complete the circuit. After closing the chassis, The trimmer was working, but the motor was too fast than the normal speed. Tried connecting the charger and switching it on, still the same issue persisted & some smoke came out of it. How can I restore it to it's normal speed? It's sucking too much electricity, even though I haven't made any other changes, than the ones shown in your video.

    I put the original batteries back inside it. Still the same issue persists. Even with the charger. I'm not sure if I should test it again, since the smoke incident happened with the original batteries as well. Is the silver foil causing the issue? There was nothing burnt on the circuit board. I'm guessing the motor gave away the smoke.

    @@PiyushPrasoon The battery is 750 mah, duracell rechargeable 1.2v. I had put the batteries in reverse, i.e -ve to +ve & vice versa & switched it on by mistake, the 1st time. Will reversal of current damage the dc motor? What are the remedies to this problem?

  • @PiyushPrasoon

    @PiyushPrasoon

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@perkinmanor9045 No it will not damage the motor, however the complete charging circuit will be disturbed. Cause due to reversal of the batter the proactive diode will all the battery to pass the current and it will create another active source, this is the region your motor speed is getting doubled. You can de-solder the battery and connect it back in the correct manner, otherwise the motor coil will burnt due to high current intensity. reversing the polarity also reverse the motor rotation, however this will not affect the motor but speeding up of moto due to high current will heat up the motor coil and it will be burnt soon.

    check the rotor. 1. remove the blade. 2. remove the attachment fixed on the motor shaft . 3. put very little amount of glue and fix it back. 4. use it after some time. caution - be very careful while putting the glue access glue may drip down towards motor shaft and may glue the motor shaft and the motor stator (outer covering of the motor).

    Bro just check the small attachment fixed on the motor shaft, Looks like you need to re-glue that. follow the steps given below: 1. Take off the blade attachment. 2. Take off the small attachment which you need to take out from the motor shaft. You may need some short of tweezers or holding object to pull it out from the motor shaft. 3. apply glue in its hole (a little glue) and re-insert it into the motor shaft keeping the trimmer up-side-down (to avoid the risk of shaft jamming in case glue sleeps towards the motor and get inside it).
