not all foreign bloggers in the Philippines is as good as Ali. i feel like hes very Filipino and he captured the hearts of everyone he meets in the streets or in every place. amazing that he even immersed himself in the rain with the kids? thats very Pinoy. hes doing very good videos actually showing to the world how fun it is in the Philippines even on slum and poor areas in a very good way. it really makes me happy that he experienced the thunder and lightning during the rain which is just nothing but a usual thing for us Filipinos. Ali and Dany, nice to see that you continue to enjoy not only the halo-halo, but also those guys having fun in a makeshift basketball court. And briefly playing with them under a heavy downpour and enjoying their company is indeed truly a memorable and unforgettable experience. It somehow reflects your kindred spirit that illustrates humility and your love for humanity, rain or shine. The way most Filipino eat halo-halo is to eat first the toppings which are the ice cream and the leche flan and then mixed all the ingredients until the bottom is all mixed up with the ice. They say Digman is the best halo-halo but I would say they are too commercialized. Anywhere around the Philippines you can find halo-halo during summer time but not much during rainy seasons. The best ones I tried are from Laguna just from any street corners of the provinces because vendors are generous with the complete ingredients (ube, brown mongo, jackfruit, sweet potato, banana, nata de coco, sweet corn, kaong, pinipig, gulaman, leche flan and ice cream). Every place have different version of halo-halo. Try eating at Mang Inasal (best chicken barbecue), sinigang soup and also halo-halo.

It is cool to see you meshing well with the locals since you have been here. If I'm not mistaken, you are close to being a Filipino riding behind the tricycle driver, this is dope lol. Great videos and stay safe. :)

That ice product should have originated in Taiwan. However, Taiwan does not use cups, nor does it allow ice to turn into water soon. Taiwan's ingredients are more abundant. You should go to Taiwan to taste the original delicious version! Ali's charm is unstoppable, no matter where he goes, he always attracts people's attention! The picture of cheering in the rain is so cute, and those children high-five with you are so cute, thank you for sharing! 👍😀🙌 Note: The little cake you eat in Harry's today video is also from Taiwan, but we have more fillings and more flavors! The real name of the little cake is wheel cake, or Wheel pies. No, the Japanese had this very basic fruit juice and ice shavings dessert in the Philippines because of the hot weather, then Filipinos just tried adding milk and some banana, and just kept adding more and more fruits, with the abundance and many different varieties of them. That was during WW2, and I'm pretty sure "halo-halo" did not even exist in Taiwan in 1960's.

Somebody, some time ago suddenly wanted to eat some dessert made of ice shavings and not a milimeter bigger, then just put many different things in it without knowing if it would be good or not. Anyway, I'm guessing you should get used to a few brainfreeze because you'll have to eat all of that dessert lighting fast because ice shavings melt a lot faster than ice cube, or maybe just keep putting it back in the freezer.

Visit also the North side of PH via land travel . You may have a side trip in Pampanga for the Best and Original Sisig in Aling Lucing. Then go to Baguio after.. then Sagada.. the climb Mt Pulag - for the sea of clouds at the peak.
