Philip Yancey on the Question that Never Goes Away

Award winning author and speaker Philip Yancey writes with a journalist's eye for detail, irony and honest skepticism. He is often faced with difficult questions in life especially when disaster strikes. Here, he speaks with Moira how to handle the difficult questions one might have in life.

Ive been buying yancey’s books for several years now over and over but i cant seem to keep one for myself as im constantly gifting them to friends. His books give me so much comfort and ease my pain that i just want to share it to others. I hope he does more videos in youtube so his messages of hope and healing can reach this new generation

A famous "Christian" author implies that the Bible is fallible and uninspired (starting around 9 minutes in), and poorly written in contrast to a fellow, famous, "Christian" author (some of whose writings are required reading for certain witches), and no one bats an eye. A very sad and alarming time for true believers in Christ Jesus 😢

You've twisted what the man said, and you know you have. You have defamed two Christian men. This is shameful sin, and you need to repent of it and claim the forgiveness of Christ Jesus.

All he said was that the authors in the bible don't give us all of the answers about why there is suffering.

And you has also no answers, poor little.... You can't read. Because his book is called: "The question that never goes away. That is never answered ..." He gives no answers, only help for those who want to be a little helped. Besides, you "can't believe"? You DON'T WANT to believe! Faith is an act of will. That's the answer to your ridiculously whimpering "I can't ..."

This is such nonsense. They talk about how “God” is distressed, upset, feels our pain etc. They don’t see how this is a contradiction to the concept that “God” is also omniscient, omnibenevolent and atemporal. It would literally be impossible to simultaneously be present in every moment in time and experience an emotion such as distress or regret.
