Anyone remember the WMMR "Louie, Louie Day Parade?" Went to it. It was between the Vet and Spectrum on Pattison Avenue.

Byron and Tanaka went to afternoons at LA's KFI. KFI's morning team of Lohman and Barkley had huge ratings so the station was trying to duplicate that success in pm drive. They were not successful. Shortly thereafter, Byron was playing beautiful music in the morning at KBIG.

2:19 Rumours was already being described as a "classic"...3 years after it's release.

Philadelphia Radio May 29, 1980 - WIFI92, WMGK Magic 103, 933 WMMR, WUSL "US1". I like the WUSL airchecks because of the US1 jingles.

At that time, WIFI 92 was the perfect radio station. That was after another once even better station, WZZD,, Wizard 100, went all disco. That is, WZZD was great until they went all disco a year or so earlier. Then it was WIFI that I listened to, but by late summer 1980, they, WIFI 92 evolved into a format that was too AM ish for an FM station, which was an insult to me. Then I settled on WYSP, which at that time, was mainly heavy metal, competing with WMMR, but eventually WYSP evolved into the perfect radio station, becoming a classic rock station by the mid 1980's.

How about some Hot 105.7 Fm (York, PA) from the late 80s? I doubt you have early 90s. WQXA I think we're the call letters
