I never doubted him. This season, I'm most impressed by his reads and knowing where the open receiver is when being blitzed. He's also more patient in the pocket now and will wait for receivers to get open in coverage schemes. He's playing smart and is taking what the defenses give him.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the Texans played for most of this game. Had a solid game, save for a couple of questionable throws by Mills. Dameon Pierce was really fun to watch. There just wasn’t any stopping that Eagles offense today. They ran the ball quite well and that really opened things up for Hurts to make plays. He was really on point tonight, always easily using his feet to create opportunities for his offense, whether it was on the ground of through the air. He has turned the corner this year and is now a superstar.

@@danabreakforest1688 I know everyone grows at different rates, and no two QBs are the same. But as a Fields fan for about 4 years minimum now, we can't JUST be saying OL first. Burrow and Herbert where the most 2 sacked QBs the same year and still doing impressive numbers. And winning. I think Fields still can too, though. I think he's just a slightly later (which used to be avg, cuz this is year 3) bloomer and will possibly have a really good 2nd half.

A little reminiscent of how the University of Houston has their color scheme when playing Navy or one of the other Service Academies in non conference games or bowl games; but instead of a Brahma Bull on the side of the helmet, it’s UH on one side and a cougar on the other or UH super imposed and above a cougar on each side with the color arrangement seen by the Bull Logo for NFL Houston Texans. If you are a University of Houston fan or grad and alum you know what I am talking about. They will also have the UH as USA 🇺🇸 flag colors and scheme too. I know this is an NFL site and post and comments, but I hope in the future with UH going to Big12 they continue to schedule Service Academies for non conference games.

@@hamhockbeans It's Hurts man. I knew this team was mentally tough when Jalen Hurts was extremely emotional, with his voice shaking after a 20-17 Win against the Cardinals because we didn't play up to our standard. Last week, right after the 35-13 Drubbing of the Steelers, with the media still in the locker room the entire team was on the bikes and were already getting ready for the Texans. It's beautiful to watch such a dedicated team, that bounces back from adversity, and is humble in victory.

Totally forgot there was football this Thursday :/ Looks like I missed a good game. Also, as a Bills fan, I love seeing Jerry Hughes doing well. I have a ton of love for the guy.

This game kind of went how I expected tbh. It's hard to win in this league and I had this game down as a tough game on a short week and no Jordan Davis. Well played Houston 🤝

And this was a much more entertaining game than expected. Which sucks cause while I am a Texans fan, I am also an eagles fan as well, especially cause a former Southern Miss player, Quez Watkins who was am absolute beast in college now plays for the eagles.

This is the kind of game I love to see on Thursday night football. AJ Brown🔥📸 made the ultimate difference in earned catches, Sanders💪was able to score as Eagles running back, and the offense just seemed to hard 2 stop. I wouldnt be surprised if Pierce for Texans became NFL's next Frank Gore. In this matchup he had runs that lead him to punishing the defense, and the guy just looks unstoppable every week. Real impressed by Eagles pressure though getting tackles/some sacks/interceptions combined. Really was proud of 2sacks by Jerry Hughes too. When Texans had chances they got a lot of effort out of it. And its crazy because they dont even play like a team thats 1 and 6 record. I just hope Mills continues to build because watching Davis Mills throw to his receivers is always fun. They run routes particularly well and have the kind of speed that can be quite useful with Chris Moore & everyone else. Who knew Philip Dorsett would be Texans 3rd or 4th best option at wide receiver. Way to play Dorsett for Texans. Kenneth Gainwell and Goedert really showed how much they were needed also for Philadelphia. 5 star worthy of a Eagles Texans showdown. Really enjoyed it.

So many draft picks for the Texans in the next two years, they showed it on the prime broadcast... I'm honestly scared with some of the pieces they have and Lovie Smith looking like he has a chip on his shoulder. Texans could be legit in as little as a year or two. Heard it here first.

Just move to Houston this summer from Washington State. This Texans team reminds me a lot of Seahawk years where they had a couple good pieces but just weren't on the same level as most of the other NFL teams. Hopefully some more draft picks and a few more years of rebuilding and they can be more competitive. Took years and years for the Seahawks to pay off for me, I've bee watching for 40 years so I am willing to re-invest in another team and hopefully watch them grow into a Championship team as well. Still a Seahawk fan, always will be but I can make time for the Texans as well.

Each week the play from TE Goedert is bigger and better he's becoming at least the NFC's best TE as when Smith and Brown are double covered it opens the middle of the field up big for Goedert(loved his 100 receiving yards and a TD catch tonight!)
