Joel Embiid averaged 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 66 games this season. ..Nikola Jokic averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 9.8 assists in 69 games this season...Show me where the separation is so great between these two that Jokic is the clear favorite.. Jokic gives you 1 more rebound, 5 more assists and Embid gives you 9 more points...MVP is all politics anyway...

The overall numbers are so close that we are splitting hairs. Without Joker or Embiid neither team would be in the playoffs so it's too hard to quantify who is more valuable to their team. If we're going that route than Jimmy Butler is more valuable to Miami than either of these two. are to their respective teams...Its subjective any way you look at it...

I include myself. we denied jokic a deserved, historic third consecutive MVP for someone who couldn't even make it out of the second round, who scored just 15 points in a blowout loss and got hunted by the other team when defense was supposed to be one his main arguments for winning the MVP. I get its a regular season award, but crapping the bed in the playoffs after winning the MVP just devalues the award, it just does. especially when jokic just carried that nuggets squad to the WCF.

Boston put in their big man, Robert Williams, at the right time in the series. Embiid was already gimpy, and having to bang down low with another big man proved too much for him in game 7. Good strategy for a best of 7 series.

Boston Celtics look like they are peaking at the perfect time...back to their form from last year and with much more experience.

Being a life long Celtics fan . I would watch this Larry Bird video with Jerry Sciesting? And I mastered his runner I ate up everything bird said to how he warmed up befor games . I was never quite the passer like bird but put up great numbers in the old 80’s when we wore nut huggers until our senior year in 88 haha all state birds video really helped plus hours n hours of practice. I would walk around the neighborhood dribbling the ball start shooting free throws at 8 am till 11 when people started showing up at the neighborhood hoops

Thanks for putting these highlights up, specially so early (also check after u've watched the video). Just wanna throw out some thoughts (this is from someone who's only seen the highligts from the series. Even though Joel is the MVP it felt much more for the sixers how James Harden performed, because when he scored a lot, they usually (if not always) won. Great to see Tatum having a huge game, him being on nba 1st team and me remembering most of the games this series of Tatum scoring like less then 10 points usually before the half, while usually Brown being pretty consistent and doing quite well.
