A major reason for Hurts' lacking performance was no short hot routes for blitzes, Sirianni stating after games that there will be corrections, then it wasn't corrected game after game. That's a management problem, not a Hurts problem.

Plus he had a career high in yards and tds . Yes INTs were up but he had to force a lot of things both him and ajs fault and coaching as well. Dude will be just fine as long as they right the ship and play to his strengths!

I think a lot of his issues were related to the former oc and his poor route designs. Hurts should have had 3 choices on each pass play. But the other guys were deep and covered. So his choice was limited to AJ or Goddert

Jalen's ceiling was 2022, he's never reaching it again. Simms just didn't bother going through it all because yadayadayadayada hater blablablafrigginbla :)

Phill Simms was always a Class Act, a natural communicator who was a Professional On and Off the Air… an Over Achiever, Hard Working and a great sense of the Game and sense of Humor & Camaraderie with his fellow Co-Workers

Phils Simms. I remember when our eagle's D line was a force he had to deal with twice a year. Reggie White and Jerome Brown especially!

I always had respect for Simms as a QB . in fact, @ 9:30 in the video when he talked about his injury with his thumb, that occurred against the Eagles as our DE Dennis "Big foot " Harrison sacked him ending his season, as he was having a career yr. a respectable guy.

My Big Phil moment was the 1987 season opener Giants @ Bears in Soldier field in a much-anticipated matchup between the last 2 SB champions. In the 2nd qtr. @ 42:35-43:00 min into the KZread video, Simms went back to pass, and Simms suffered a vicious Helmet to Helmet shot from DE Richard Dent, no doubt about it Simms was concussed. Phil went to the sideline for 1 play and back into the huddle and the next play was a pass play where he threw a wounded duck. it was incomplete as he didn't have all his bearings for that play... what a warrior...... he has my upmost respect.

My question is... How can one say the qb not playing well when both his receivers had a career year ?

Guess what clown… the Eagles can afford to pay these receivers & running back because of the upfront money Lurie is willing to pay, plus the way the money is managed under the cap. I have questions about Jalen for sure, but the roster construction at least theoretically allows this team to flourish even if Hurts isn’t playing like a top 5 QB. The salary impact is less on this team than other teams. It’s not a hindrance to filling out the roster.

Ooooook. At least it all makes sense now. I have watched my fair share of Sileo. I sincerely have always wondered, why does this guy who covers the bords clearly hate them so much. You Notice they brought hurts turnovers up but overlooked Josh Allen turnovers hurts had 15 int Allen had 18 yet they never mention that

The QB doesn't need to be the best guy ... he just can't be one of the worst. Foles, Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer etc weren't the best player on offense
