    Here it is Monday morning, me your quarterback. At about 1:14:00 The holding pattern on the chart is for the missed as well as the approach, note the noPT on the chart which means this is a Hold in Leiu of procedure turn as well. Gotta give this guy credit, he reloaded the flight plan with the correct IAP, ELT (Cones) which loaded the GPS Hold in Leiu procedure. This allows the GPS to fly the Hold in leiu, rather than manually, via Navaid VOR or OBS. As a real world pilot, "Thinking on Your Feet" so to speak is extemely hard. The "fear" response causes one to freeze up and mental processes shrink. IMO, as usual, flying fast, Single pilot certified aircraft is the best way to learn. Notice how busy he became and still stayed ahead of the aircraft. This is also a great demo on how realistic and valuable a RW flight sim can be. With Vatsim ATC, and single pilot CRM. Kudos

    You talked me into buying this a/c and, I have to say, after a few circuits and a couple of flights I must say, THANK YOU. It is a relatively easy a/c to fly but quite a hard a/c to operate well. Looking forward to learning it 😃

    For future reference, you can enter an airway in the g1000. When you’re on the flight plan page, hit menu and scroll down to load airway.

    That cliff that popped up at the end of the runway was a nasty surprise. I thought there was some type of mishap. Not sure I'd even want to fly there in a real aircraft, I'll stick to less remote ski areas. Thanks as always great video. Definitely buying this aircraft.

I have it bound to white button on Alpha Yoke for now until Bravo Quad comes in mail. Been waiting a while now. Here is key binding for CWS Control Wheel Steering sim/autopilot/control_wheel_steer I have this bound to left white button for now.

    Great advice at 45:10 about FLC and rolling up slow. I have been turning up all at once and the ac pitches level and gains speed which is probably poor technique.

  • @Gilles45
    @Gilles453 жыл бұрын

    The speed brakes cannot be deployed on the ground. In flight, you can only deploy them if these three conditions are met : speed above 125 knots, flaps 0 and thrust below 50% N1. Essentially, the speed brakes are used to slow the plane to the flap 1 speed of 180 knots. As ground spoilers, they deploy automatically when the landing gear compresses, there is no arming mechanism. BTW, Aerobask recommends that the you run the timer at engine startup and verify that the engines stabilize before 30 seconds.

  • @V1Sim

    @V1Sim

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thank you for this! I was just wondering if there was a way to override them on ground to verify they work, only because the checklist has a speedbrake item that says check but I guess they just want to verify they are in the down position ?

    You won’t regret it. I’ve been having so much fun with it that I haven’t flown anything else in the sim for two weeks. It’s one of the only XP biz jets that doesn’t feel like I’m flying an overpowered C-172 simulation. It handles like a jet that ways almost 20,000 lbs should.
