Pheasant preparation for the kitchen

A video that shows you how to quickly de-breast a pheasant, quickly and easily. The video is aimed at those learning how to do it, as it is something I get asked about.
There are many ways to do it...this is my way. We should never waste what we shoot and although I am only removing the breasts in this video, the legs will go to the ferrets, and the rest of the carcass will be used in traps.

+greenvapour123 Yes that's true, but what a good edge you can get, and no hardship if you loose one! Thanks for the comments!

Yea definitely, it's just that the shooting season and weather get in the way at this time of year!! Certainly early spring should be some more long range stuff, maybe sooner. I'm doing a quick review of some shotgun ammo soon. Thanks for the kind words

Hello Sir. Could you please tell little about the knife shown in the video? The scabbard, the stone, how to keep the knife and the scabbard in good condition, how can we carry it when outdoors etc. Also, where did you buy it from. Asking just out of curiosity. Thank you

Good video that's the way I do mine but every once in a while I will pluck the whole bird

Thanks! I rarely pluck them these days, unless it's for a special dinner roast. Damm feathers get everywhere unless you dip them first!
