    They each have their place, I generally use phasers for distorted kicks, flanger for acid, and chorus for lead synths but I'd be lying if I said flanger wasn't my favorite

    @@spudwickthrockmorton2112 it’s a phaser, a MXR script 90 phaser was used on the Wish you were here Album. A uni-vibe was only used on Dark Side of The Moon.

    I love my 1968 univibe and my phase 95. Also fun fact about flangers, the Japanese guy at roland was told to design a flanger without knowing what it was supposed to sound like lol so yea thats how the first flamger came to be

    Chorus is probably my favorite, but it's also the one I have the most experience with. I'm working with flanger a lot now, and I like it a TON

    Guitar on Love Hurts by Nazareth is using a phaser. No other effect really fits that riff. The phaser is my go to effect and it can cover more ground than other modulation pedals

    I almost always have a chorus on just set really low, it's a subtle way to add character and depth to your sound without doing too much

    Chorus is a meat & potatoes pedal, but you can get a flanger to sound like all three of these. You could've thrown in a univibe pedal too

    chorus is one of my favorite effects thanks to how Brian May uses it, he has a really subtle chorus sound that can be better heard with his guitar on low volume

    Fun fact: The reason the flanger sounds like a jet flying is because a jet’s sound and its reflection off the ground hit your ear at different times. As the jet moves the delay changes just like a flanger!

    Chorus is easily the most popular, but I’d go with Flanger as it’s the most versatile. It’s capable of doing chorus-ey effects, but also can go pretty hard with its weirdness.

    Phaser of the three is my favorite. Love my Phase 90 script. Univibe is my favorite especially my Rotovibe pedal. I use it on lots of #majikband songs. Great pedal shaped like a wah to control rate.

    Worth mentioning that a chorus is also based off of short delay lines, just like a flanger! But typical chorus pedals do not "feed back" the signal back into the circuit as much.

    Analogman bi chorus pedal is a great pedal. I use it alot through my 65 DRRI and Performer Stratocaster. I sometimes boost it with a Keeley overdrive.

    Very well explained, kudos! All three are great, but I am more team flanger (even though chorus is very close related to flanger, being both a different produce of small delayed signal)
