Wholeheartedly agree. This album and their self titled single handedly saved my life back in the day. This track is of course a fun song, but the deeper cuts on the album cut deep. Completely changed my world in ways I couldn't think imaginable.

I only had the melody of California in the back of my head since it´s release. Never really got into their other songs. So glad I get into it now. On a sidenote: how crazy is it that KZread has already become this huge time capsule? Like this song is 12 years old and has been longer than half of my life on this platform. It´s quite insane and really gives you a glimpse into the future, when people in 2100 still get to watch this vid and read our dumb comments. Shoutout to my grandchildren, I guess!

All these songs give me a nostalgic feeling.

Their concert with the hush sound, motion city soundtrack, and PANIC AT THE DISCO last night was amazing!!!! i was just turned on to their style of amazing music!!!!

Phantom Planet is amazing, they really need more recognition! 14 years as a band, and yet, they've never headlined! So unfair! I think they're better live than on the CD, you can hear the passion in Alex's voice, and he goes ALL OUT! Love him!

I love this song. It never gets old. Why are there so few modern classics, instant hits, and original songs in the alternative genre lately? We need more classics like this.

Love this video! The first time I heard Phantom Planet was on Smallville, when Lonely Day was played during one of the episodes. I've been in love with their sound since then. It's definitely evolved, but they've always created amazing music. I wish they'd received more recognition earlier on, it was well deserved.

i first heard this song in an american eagle, i’m not even joking. i was in my early teens and it became my “life-defining song” for ages. my fiancé now makes fun of how the singer sounds, but i still love this song so fiercely!

i saw them in memphis too! when alex was running up the aisle, i got knocked over and he stopped and knelt down to help me up. it was so nice of him! i need to find a way to thank him sometime... their songs are so well-written and they have such great stage presence! i love it!

Saw them last night, SO GOOD! I love them! And the singer was amazing, and so funny!

I love the whole "Army Of Darkness" thing they have going, with the crawling hand and dismembered bodies playing. Listening to their album for about a month now, i didn't really know what they would concept they would come up with for a video, but it is totally awesome.
