Last year I appeared on this cover together with Symphonic Power Metal band "Dream Ocean".
I've always wanted to do this song by myself, and finally the times has come.
Recorded in a haunted house in Italy in the summer of 2022 with a full team behind me to make this happen.

I am a self-confessed theatre nut as well as a huge heavy metal fan, so this is just .... stunning. The vocals are other-worldly, but the skill and craft shown in the arrangement is something else. Completely and utterly speechless.

my first intro to him was this video a year ago. i remember the day so well. i had just gotten home from a fibroid report from the dr. didnt know what that was so i assumed it was deadly and began to feel sad, looking up whatever video i could to get a good cry out of me and..THIS popped up in my recommendations. Been hooked ever since. fyi over it and doing well

Once again, Tommy 'plays with himself'.... and it's THE GREATEST THING HE'S EVER FREAKING DONE!!!! Seriously, I told him I hadn't been this excited about one of his forthcoming covers in a long time. I've heard literally dozens of bands cover this iconic classic, from Impellitteri to Nightwish, with varied and mixed results. His vocal juxtaposition of the two differing characters, Christine and the phantom, is wonderfully presented. The music is appropriately masterful here. We wouldn't expect ANYTHING less than total excellence from Maestro Johansson, and he knows it. I honestly don't know how he's going to top this one.....but, I'll be here waiting to see the results!!!!

@@user-lr8ni8qq1p Не надо сравнивать разное исполнение. Тарья професиональная оперная певица. У неё консерватория за плечами, она пела в опере. Потом пришла в рок. А у этого исполнителя нет такой школы. Но это не умаляет его вокальные данные.

You have quite a rabbit hole to discover. Majestica (ex ReinXeed) is Tommy's band for 20 years now and they have many great songs, start with Above The Sky and Metal United. He is also a guitarist for Sabaton, very popular metal band from Sweden that combines history with awesome music, try their song Christmas Truce for start (if you don't know them already)

I am a huge fan of this musical and this was AMAZING! Very, very few male singers could sing this song by themselves. Not only the singing was on point, but the acting too. Though I would love to hear Tommy and Floor sing a song together, for this song I would love to hear a duett between Tommy and Marko Hietala. That would be something else!
