Phantom Manor Holiday would be just great, sometimes I get a bit bored after riding Phantom Manor a lot of times

The story to this mansion is tragic in my opinion. The plot goes where the father of the bride always kills her lovers. The father had thought that all the men his daughter got together was ‘not worthy’ for her-so he killed them. The men in the paintings were past lovers of the bride, and the person that was hanged in the beginning was the man she was marrying. The bride (daughter) stood at the altar for so many hours waiting for her husband to be come. But he never did because her father’s ghost killed him. The wedding had to end since the groom didn’t show and guests went back home. Yet the bride wondered around the mansion looking for him until her dying breath. To this day, she still walks around the mansion as a ghost in hopes of finding him. But even as a ghost-her father makes sure that they will never meet. A tragic Romeo and Juliet story.

Creo que lo del novio ahorcado se quitó para reemplazarlo por los cuatro pretendientes. Cuando se reformó el atracción en 2019 se hicieron cambios argumentales, como el de dejar claro que el misterioso fantasma con capa y chistera era el señor Ravenwood, el padre de Melanie, la muchacha. Antes en la habitación que se estira se podía ver al novio ahorcado pero ahora sólo es la cuerda para advertirnos de no acercarnos a su hija. También se cambió el final del recorrido donde ella daba su alma para salvar las nuestras por los cuatro nichos donde descansan sus cuatro prometidos. O deberían ya que uno de ellos está roto desde dentro.

I worked on Thunder mountain in Paris and the back story was that Henry Ravenswood struck gold and built the manor to overlook the workers. Mining too much gold awakened a Native American bird spirit who caused an earthquake which is why you see all of Frontierland aka thunder Mesa in a bad way towards the end. Melanie fell in love with one of the miners & her father disapproved so had him killed & that miner is the spirit of the train that drives you through thunder mountain. It seems to have changed story plot now though

People often rank phantom manor as the best haunted mansion because the story is about as dark as Disney Imagineering could get away with. But I think It's probably my number one ride ever and I am normally a roller coaster guy.

the ride's music soundtrack is amazing. I like the ballroom scene and even the singing busts that reminded me of my Haunted Mansion record that I had as kid

The windows and forest and thunder in the scene behind the piano at 3:11 are OUTSTANDING!! 😍 How do they do that? Technology and effects have really advanced.

This is really cool! I've only been to Disneyland in California, but recently I've been fascinated by the different versions of the classic rides around the globe. Thanks for the high quality video.

Actually, I like the bride at the end appearing between the Doombuggies better than when the mechanism is properly aligned.

Never thought much about traveling out of the country other than Canada. Grateful to say I've Been to Disney world in Florida many times throughout my years. Haunted mansion was one of my favorites. Seeing this video that's it, Take my money, we're going to Paris. . Disneyland in Paris. . .

I grew up with the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland California. it was and still is my favorite. While I've never been to the Phantom Manor in person I've seen the ride on youtube by fans and I love the back ground story behind the ride and how the ride looks...it quickly became a favorite of mine.

There is a beautiful reference to honour the original Haunted Mansion: the voice of the "Mayor" in the western graveyard is the voice of the wonderful Paul Frees, who speaks the Ghost Host in the Haunted Mansion (6:37 to the left lifting his hat .. eh.. head :-) )

I remember when I was a kid I was on this ride this ride should be made for Halloween 🎃cause the way it looks! Also I loved this ride it was an awesome ride ever!

My favorite version!

Rode this attraction back in 2000 and it hasn’t changed a bit. It’s still awesome.

I remember when I stopped in my tracks when the moment I saw the seats, and I wanted to go back! A very kind lady staff member showed dad and I a way out. Back my childhood in the 90s when I was Little Hallingbury Primary School kid.

That’s the Haunted Mansion I really hope to ride one day!

Nah it’s called Phantom Manor. Our French Haunted Mansion version 🇨🇵😈 More creepier and spookier. Not the mention the cemetary that surround it And the only where you walk in the front door

Phantom Manor is the most scariest Haunted Mansion in all Disney Parks. Even the façade gives you some scares Not to mention the poisoned frontyard and the cemetary in the back 🇨🇵😈🎃👻 Tony Baxter wanted Phantom Manor more scarier than Haunted Mansion

It's shocking how much quicker ir is than it's DLR AND WDW counterparts, but still so full of details!!

The story of the mansion takes places in a small town near a railroad station. The ghost town was suppose to represent the small town.

it had a huge 13 month refurb between 2018-2019 so it feels a lot fresher and no luckily ours does not get changed to nightmare before xmas!

Our Phantom Manor is a better version of Haunted Mansion. Even more creepier and spookier. There's so much drama in it. There's a squeleton with a Big hat that keeps laughing. It was closed for refurbishment in 2017 and reopened in 2019

So odd, those hh Rude in Paris is way darker and more sinister than the one in Florida/California the dog on this one is aggressive where the dog in both HH in DL/WDW is docile. Unix seems like a carnival ride almost. Weird. I like the in in Florida the best!

I feel like the versions of other countries Disney rides are always much better than the US versions

We are very spoiled by the amount of detail and the usage of real materials in the Paris "magic kingdom" park. Too bad we haven't received any new rides (not counting replacements) since Space Mountain. (1995) Because of this I prefer DisneyWorld over Disneyland Paris.

All 4 are pretty similar.

Don't like most of the changes made in the recent refurb but it's still my favourite dark ride

They must have changed the decor and the voice since I visited in like, 2009/2010. It looks a bit different and sounds very different to how I remember.

Yes they made a rehabilitation in 2019. They change few decorations and changed the voice actors 👍🏻

Je trouve que les annonces d’arrêt de l’attraction était beaucoup mieux avant ! La sa fait moins peur moins dans l’ambiance je trouve alors qu’avant c’était bien la voix !

Still annoyed by the finale's change from literally hell to a ghost town. Also the phantom became a zombie and the bride was found as a floating corpse.
