Just a hunch but my bet is they closed the pools to save money. Heating a pool takes a TON of natural gas.

as a western buddhist 1) this hotel is such good vibes and 2) shaun calling budai "buddha" is thoroughly amusing :))

nice video shawn :) phantasialand is amazing. Ling bao has lots of attention to detail especially as a buddhist. it also has lots of tibetan and thai influences so it's more of a buddhist hotel than a chinese one IMO. there was rumour that the "china" area of the park might be rethemed to a broader "asia" theme, I remember hearing a few years ago before fly was confirmed. Also the "buddha" in your room was actually not buddha but budai (buddha was nepalese).

The theming of this hotel is amazing! The garden of this hotel reminded me of the Liyue Harbor in Genshin Impact, which creates a peaceful and mysterious atmosphere.

Brilliant vlog

Love the hotel vlogs, would love to see a vlog from one of the Legoland Windsor hotels one day as ive always wanted to know what tvey are like, as we have been to lego lods of times and only ever been in the entrance to the castle hotel and even that looked amazing so i bet the rooms are amazing

Really good to see you both staying on site at resorts now too, from seeing the exterior of Ling Bao on your previous videos I was certain this would be the best for us, but after hearing about your experience it is definitely off the list and Charles Lindbergh just isn't our cup of tea dinner didn't really feel much of an experience but the bar and cocktails looked great. Without a bar or pool area at Ling Bao these are elements of the hotel theme which are lacking and if you asked and weren't offered a higher level room upon checking in then customer service is clearly lacking, Kronasar is more our kind of hotel at Europa. When we do get to Phantasialand we will stay off site I am sure we won't be the only ones to make that decision based on your findings. Good to hear you are also feeling better Shawn.

Another great vlog, it looks like a lovely hotel. It's a shame that the pools weren't open and the bars weren't open late. That's not very good. But apart from that it does look nice. Especially at night. 😊 Also I hope you're well Shawn, you sound very bunged up. I hope you just have a bit of a cold and not covid. Stay well. 💕

I love LingBao.. such a shame you couldn‘t enjoy the pool and bar! As a former annual pass holder I‘m so sad Phantasialand doesn‘t see the importance of open communication

Excellent video Charlotte and Shawn from Hotel Ling Bao in Phantasialand. This beautifully themed hotel features Asian aesthetics and many amazing details. In this vlog, we take you for a tour of Hotel Ling Bao along with our beautiful room with a view into the hotels relaxing garden area. We also take you along for breakfast in the Bamboo restaurant! For me one of the best parts of staying at a hotel is the breakfast included 😂, cant wait for thorpe shark cabins at thorpe park, gonna be very different but a nice expereince

Stayed here in 2017 and found it a wonderful hotel. It’s interesting to see the changes but a shame the bars weren’t open.

That Chinese themed hotel looks really nice. And the hotel room itself was beautiful. It's just a shame there isn't any tea or coffee making facilities in your hotel room. But then again, hopefully you can have one in the restaurant in the morning when you have breakfast. The hotel is beautifully themed inside & out. I know it's very cold in Germany at the moment. It's also very very cold in Britain with -3 degrees Celsius (below freezing) at night. With gas prices ridiculously high at the moment. Heating in Britain is a luxury at the moment. Hope you enjoyed your stay at the hotel.

Closed unfortunately. The spa was open though at an additional cost!

Did you take the opportunity to go to the China area after the park closed? They open the turnstiles for hotel guests so you pretty much have the whole area to yourself. And did you try the different spreads at breakfast? They make these on site and the Cookie and Cream one is absolutely delicious :)

Phantasialand should have vegan options in all the restaurants and cafés, as well as the breakfast for hotel guests. Much the same for Europa-Park, for example search for "europa-park vegan dishes" and they have an overview of all the options.

Phantasialand does say on their website that the pool is currently beeing refurbished, so I wonder why you seemed so surprised. (You can see it on the page where you book the hotel, before you select the tickets)

Europa Park!

Bar being closed in the evening is Merlin-style baffling. Every time I’ve been we’ve gone down there in the evening because it’s such a unique setting, surely that’s when they’d make more money than during the day when everyone’s in the park? It’s always been busy when I’ve been there in the evening. Love Phantasialand but some of their decisions are odd currently.

Why doesnt every bathroom have heaters omg

Good park and theme park resort offering three hotels all ideal for a perfect stay depending on what guests require for their visits. Huge disappointment about swimming pool and bar times as you and guests should have been informed before booking up on website especially Swimming Pools and bar times as people do like to drink when relaxing in evenings and taking part in an morning, night and casual day swimming. Something they should inform in future 100%. I think this hotel aswell maybe the other maybe ideal for myself and my friend in future, Charles Lindberg I think will be an experience for like you say couples, or even solo trips. But yeah one of the two would be more ideal I think for space in my opinion, but for theming, experience and storyline. Fly themed hotel and area would be perfect 100%. Also, I think lower or ground floor rooms should be differently priced compared to the upper floors with park views. Maybe more lowered prices for ground floor and upper floors priced more but not too much more? Giving more options for all hotel guests but this is my opinion. But overall, interesting vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to next. 😀👍

i love your videos, but my autism can't handle how often you say the phrase "as well" i find myself counting them and its distracting me from your content. I know its just how you speak, but perhaps consider editing out a few of them for the sake of repetition.
