PGCE Careers Fair (2024)

A highlights reel of the PGCE Careers Fair (March 1st, 2024), an annual event that helps prepare PGCE students for their future in education, that includes a panel discussion with secondary School Principals, workshops facilitated by School Unions and Schools, such as mock lessons and advice for interviews and making applications, free pizza and the chance to network with professionals and potential employers.
Three PGCE students also share their thoughts on the event and how it’s helped them think about their futures.

This event is run in collaboration between the QUB Careers Service and the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work (SSESW).
Professor Daniel Muijs (Head of school - SSESW), introduced a panel of guest speakers at the event, such as such as Stephen Moore from Friend’s School, Victor Coert from Kilkeel High School, Anne Andrew from Newbridge Integrated and Michelle McCormick from St. Joseph’s College, Belfast.
Workshops were run by Rebekka Gilpen (UTU), Ronan Sharkey and Louise O’Prey (NASUWT), Danielle Black (NEU) and Nuala O’Donnell (INTO).
