Peyote Stitch Basics | Kandi Basics Tutorial
If you have more info on the history of this stitch, please share in the comments!
I do plan to make some more peyote stitch tutorials in the future, like going into detail on how to make kandi charms out of peyote stitch and stuff like that, but for this video I wanted to just stick to the basic basics.

this came out at just the right time i was just struggling with peyote stitch, i’ve always had a tough time with them :’) tyy
i just started learning how to make kandi recently, this was very easy to understand, thank you!
"I totally forgot because my head is full of cotton candy" Lol same 😂
thank you so much! I love the peyote stitch charms and I struggle with them and this really helped.
this video is a game changer. tysm for making it easier+
Something ive found as well is for even peyote tou can actually just start off without folding the string. Its hard to explain but Ill try my best. If you string on 5 beads, and you go through the 3rd bead and pull it tight it will kind of start you off similar, and you can just keep going
20:22 saving this for myself ^^
Thank you so much! I could not figure out how to do the odd peyote stitch and this helped a lot!!

If you’re doing a very small project with 3-5 rows of beads then you can do a similar thing to what she did and add your bead and then weave to the other side of the row (the bead below the top one) and then go into the top bead and continue! It still uses a lot of string.
7:38 the tutorial if you are impatient, so you don't have to scrub through!

Thank you!!! This was extremely easy to follow and understand!!
Hey thank you for this I struggle with this! Let me get my beads and love the choker 💚
thank you so much! peyote stitches really mess me up, i suck at them. especially odd ones. but this video helps a lot! thank you! 💖
Would love a tut for the skull in the intro!!
Thanks sometimes I struggle with the peyote stitch
👍👍👍
do you need to start at the middle of the pattern for this? or could you make one end shorter and only use the long end to work from bottom to top?

i believe you can do both! if it's not a uniform width horizontally though, it's much easier to start at the thickest point and build up and down from there rather than starting thinner and going thicker.
How do you do the one that starts on 1 bead and ends on 1 bead I have to bag panels to do and I have spent 2 hours trying and I’m gonna give up soon

At most crast stores and also the dollar store you can find beginners/childrens cross stitch kits. The ones that are worked on a canvas with yarn. These kits come with the same plastic needles she's using in the video.
