On our drive back from our big family reunion, we made a detour stop to check out Petrified National Forest with big crew of cousins. Junior Ranger badges, a few simple hikes and some fantastic views for this short visit.

We always love meeting up with people on the road. That's one of the best things about traveling is meeting new people, not just seeing new places.
I think it’s so cool how you have junior ranger badges. I wish the did something like that in Australia

The kids love it, but they are available for everyone who wants to do it. There are often older couples turning in their books and getting sworn in a "junior rangers"
