Petra all the way. I hope they can share their music another generation

It’s crazy Petra seems to be more popular in Europe than America these days. You’d be lucky to get half this crowd in America.

John looks and sounds outstanding. Certainly out performs most all if not all his “metal god” peers out there. Met him last month he was so nice to be willing to take a photo with my son and I. Love Petra. Seriously considering working their Arlington show into my schedule.😊

I miss them. The only time I saw them live. Was in 1986 the same year John Schlitt joined Petra. I have only been able to see them in KZread videos', since then.

My first Petra concert was in 1985. It's awesome that the band is still rocking nearly 40 years later!

We saw them last week. Awesome. They sounded great. Totally engaged and they played for over an hour. Way better than expected.

John is honest with himself. He knows his limitations and had the band to tune down to help with high notes. 73 and still doing 1.5 hour sets is impressive.

They did retire in 2005 but it was 50 years ago this year the band formed in Indiana ( my home state). They are doing limited concerts in 2023.

Interesting story about this show. This show was the night before the show I attended in Ocean City NJ. That is some distance between shows.

Actually they “retired” in 2003. They only do one off shows or tours these days. And if you compare them to say Guns and Roses, who still tour, and whose singer doesn’t have a voice anymore, they are doing ok.
