Agree. But you have to give Vekic her due. She was back in the match in that second set. Great tennis from both.
Kvitova is so perplexing. Can beat anyone but can also lose to anyone.
Petra is amazing. Great longevity and talent.

The two most important reasons Petra got her 31st title. Mental toughness and high tennis IQ! Donna had her chances but even when serving directly to Petra kept failing. She decided to keep serving directly to her. Pliskova, Kvitova, Venus. Azarenka, Iga and Aryna have handfuls of titles for staying calm with high IQ plays!

@@irockimjoey I disagree honestly, Petra at her best on Grass beats everybody in Women’s Tennis. It’s more a question of if she can maintain the level consistently.

In my little naivity, it seems to me, Petrea indeed, did pick up her raquet, & did hit winners too! In my opinion, Petra's greatest asset was this tim, her lasting patience! Well, ver well done Petra!!
Crazy that both this weeks wta champions(Ostapenko and Kvitova) will face off next week in 1st round in Eastbourne.Even more they both are also last years finalists in the Eastbourne tournament.Such a connection with everything.😅

Especially on Grass. Playing at her best, she’s unplayable - even for Swiatek, Rybakina or Sabalenka
I'd love to see Petra win Wimbledon again if Swiatek doesn't. She's among the few players I'll tune in to watch in tennis these days. One of the most liked players on the tour.
The problem with winning such tournaments is it reduces the players hunger to go for the slams.... I hope bublik will also bring his form into Wimbledon, he was so scaryingly good

yes, in my days, such good winner / loser was, strictly & only Chrissy Criss Evert! Graceful, either way!
Even lusing the match Donna played a great match . But Petra is also a great grassplayer,Bedst to Donna for the next weeks.
If you want to lift a trophy, you must win.
I wish all the best to these warm up event winners. They don’t usually have good outcome in slam events.

That's why it's called; competative sport action. Indeed, both of them are truely very good, but for some reaso, thw innigs are changing, As did CONNORS - BOR = EDBERG - BECKER - LENDEL - WILANDER - SAMPRAS - AGASI etc. They all brought the best out of each other?!! - and the story goes on . . . .

Berlin does not deserve this tournament next year. Other than Swiatek most of the top players were here, yet the crowds were consistently terrible, even for the final. If Germans don’t care about women’s tennis then move the tournament somewhere else.

She spanked Donna who was disrespectful at the net after being spanked. Yet another poor sport. Not my Donna anymore. Win with grace and also lose with grace. Good job Petra for exposing that. Prettiest eyes on the tour and wins and loses with grace.
