She has had a lot of coaches. Her father acts as "head coach" but she's had lots of secondary coaches. She just gets rid of them quickly once she's milked them dry.

Jelena Ostapenko also seemed finished until 2019 July and since then she is rising back in rankings. Naomi Osaka will return, so will Kvitova and others. In fact last year Barty won 5 singles tittles and this year 2 more singles tittles. Petra Kvitova rarely can win 2 matches in a row at the moment. Ash Barty's slice backhand is very deadly and accurate. Last year Barty won Wimbledon and this year she already won Australian Open. Ashleigh Barty now have 3 different Grand Slam singles tittles. She only needs to win US Open to complete a Career Grand Slam, something that not many tennis players have acchieved. Face it. Classic Giorgi performance. Going for too much, rushing, poor shot selection, no plan B. Nothing ever changes with her. She needs to find a coach who can somehow put some structure into her game because she has the on court intelligence of a five year old

Camila has to swing harder to match Petra's ball speed which reduces margin for error.

I'm disappointed that I didn't hear Petra scream PODJ no once in these highlights, although, I read her lips once and I think she said it. Petra for the win!

Giorgi is the ideal opponent for Kvitova. Plenty of flat speed and the ball shooting through at the same height each time. Kvitova loves those balls. It's players who hit maybe less hard, but with a bit more spin and weight who Kvitova can struggle with, as physically she's not the strongest when she has to generate her own pace rather than use her opponent's.

@@charliez077 well maybe, but Kvitova can lose to anyone when she's playing badly. But that's the sort of match she likes. Knee bends, same follow through, lots of pace but no weight, nicely does it.

Camila has been very unlucky with her first round draws this season. Barty then Kitova! Give her a break organisers. Also in Canada, dad wasn't there!

Going into this match though, Kvitova was 0-2 so it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park initially. Glad some of those Ad-games went in Kviotva’s favor as she has a tendency to be up then lose tight games only to suddenly be down and eventually out.

I don’t get Giorgi’s tactic. What is the point of hitting the ball hard every shot against an opponent who hits the ball just as hard AND does it better??

i think she really just doesn't have a plan b in her game. this is how she plays against everyone and with her dad having been her coach since forever, i don't think we're going to see anything different from her unfortunately

Does not seem to be focused on the game

While I enjoy Kvitova's aggressive style of play in her returns and ground strokes, I think it would help her game and success if she can mix it up a bit by adding more top spins, slices and net volleys to her power game. Her power game is very dependent on a decent % 1st serve, which falls apart when 1st serve % dips and she doesnt seem to have a plan B.

I think she is great at the net just had to incorporate that and the slice more but bigger topspin will help on clay and slower surfaces but on grass I think the big ground strokes are great

Giorgi is beautiful and has great power for a small girl but she isn't very friendly at the net and only has one speed. She will never win just bombing the ball. Petra who by contrast is a class act, she was dead on form. Petra is one of the nicest women in the game...all court player and can hit the cover off the ball. I always pull for Petra.

If only we knew what was inside the pretty little head of Camila Giorgi, besides her penchant for untimely double faults, inexplicable unforced errors and a seeming lack of attention to situational strategy. All of which conspires to negate her obvious raw talent, meaning the rocketlike serves and seriously slammed winners that make for spectacular occasional displays of tennis that ultimately only lead to performances like this one. Sad. She has always needed coaching, but the mysterious influence of her daddy-manager notwithstanding, perhaps she is uncoachable. Currently ranked #29 in the world, and looking fetching as always, it's a pleasure to see her modeling lingerie on Instagram but some of us would much rather see her win a match that matters once in a while. It happens so rarely. As for Kvitova, is a renaissance in the offing? Now 31, Petra is currently ranked #25, which is not so far off her usual vantage point. As long as she is healthy, and still perhaps the game's most formidable lefty, she remains a serious threat to any opponent.

It has little to do with the difference in height. Giorgi is the perfect foe for Kvitova. Giorgi hits everything hard and flat. Once you get the timing down, it's just target practice similar to a practice session. The flat, hard strokes also contribute to her unforced errors and double faults. Giorgi has no finesse, touch, or spin to her game. Like others have said, she is in desperate need of new coaching about five years ago.

She rarely have problems on defeating opponents who aren't that tall and that strong. Camilla Giorgi did defeat Karolina Pliskova last year twice, but that still is rare. Camilla Giorgi simply physically can't keep up with taller opponents.

Ore watrr smaller woman. Tge time to drink is long , not small te with lots if fluid volume. Take water in rest not in work but when resying . Add water if you wake early say 2 , 3 4 am two hours drinking smaller fluid volumes is to allow full figestion see her the atheleeth. Veey good share not keep

Maybe less Instagram-lingerie modeling and more practice would help her case.
