Back in 1985 , PACCAR, FODEN in UK, was going to market the 362. They had a demo unit at the Truckfest at Peterborough , I was an owner driver then, and booked a test drive. Sadly nothing ever came of it, their plans just fizzled out. Too much competition from Their other in house tractor DAF.

Certainly! You can install any engine you like. The mechanical Cat that is original in this truck, and many like it are hard to beat. Personally, I wouldn't even consider changing it. But,yes,with some minor changes,any engine can be made to work in these

Most everything I drove had a pyrometer, tachographs,low air flags and twin sticks .I busted my own tires, had a cage for the split rims. No air impact,just a long cheater bar. The cheater bar was also used to pry the linkage on the auxiliary trans which always wanted to bind up. Oh, to be young again!

cabover is a superior design to the long hood design. has better turning radius, better visibility. they are still in use in Europe. i wish american companies would start buying scanias instead of american trucks. scania could build a few factories in america. no big deal.

No one wants those rough riding bastards anymore. Most drivers in the United States are too fat to get in one. American rigs have so much more space, comfort and ride way better than a Scania or American cabover

What's the point of this video is this thing for sale ?

The only thing I didn't like about the 362 Pete, They were too tall compared to other Cabovers. With exception Ford Cabovers.
