Peter Wesley Bastone - Dairio

A Poem By Peter Wesley Bastone
Dairi-O
Written By Peter Wesley Bastone
I cried when baby died
A little part of me left me
Beautiful and deadly, breathing
The change, the past, a future?
I smiled when baby laughed
The sound of love she gave me
A flower died in news of her death
Thoughts and prayers, we’re like all the rest
In the end, it could get lonely
People come and people go
Moments become a story, story a gigolo
I fight the change, nevermore a dairi-o
The story ripe for the picking
Carry on, carry on
As AI bleeds the human soul
Carry on, carry on
