Wow. Even in English this is some complicated history. So, Sergei, is it the pace or the vocabulary that categorizes this as B1? BTW, ‘tonsured’ refers to shaving someone’s head for religious reasons, so not sure the sub is spot on, but the meaning is clear.

Yes, the vocabulary :) It has 83% vocabulary for B1 level. And that's right, they used to shaved people's head when they would make them monks or nuns.

I am with catboy. It's not just vocabulary (by the way, what is that percentage based upon?), it is also the speed. I assume this is natural speed, so that would correspond with at least B2. @@InRussianFromAfar

Сергей, я прошу прощения, но так как это видео обучает русскому языку хочу сказать: грамматически неправильно говорить "о одном" и "о правителей" (в начале видео). Должно быть "об одном", "о правителях". Поправьте меня если не права.

Существует версия, что Петр был убит в Западной Европе и подмененный двойником. Это объясняет, почему он предпочитал немецкую культуру русской и почему он убил своего сына, если тот на самом деле не был его сыном.

Петр Первый был более двух метров ростом. В то время в Нидерландах не было людей такого роста. И голландцы, конечно, в то время были не пиратами, а морскими героями. Двумястами годами ранее жил фризский пират, который был таким высоким (Grutte Pier). Но Фрисландия была не то же самое, что Голландия.
