Honestly this game was pissing me OFF when Peter was being such a dick lmfao.

“I need this suit. It makes me a better Spider-Man”. Damn man. I know that is Venom influenced Peter talking, but that’s really sad. You can hear how Peter feels like he never does enough as normal Spider-Man. It’s really heartbreaking despite all he does for the city he has never felt more useful than when he had the all-powerful symbiote that corrupts him into taking care of criminals and villains permanently.

It truly goes to show that Peter truly Would have been better off NOT becoming Spider-Man, had He ignored Uncle bens utterly backwards good two shoes Philosophy and used his powers for his own means Peter wouldn’t even need MJ,Harry or lost anyone he ever cared about Peter has the brawn and the brains to be both super rich and successful and can easily help others that way but instead he’s rail roaded down this path of trauma and never ending torture because of some promise he made to some guy whose been dead for a decade. Honestly I wanted Peter to truly evolve with this game and start to see things more in line with Yuri not entirely but I want Peter to come to understand that Sometimes GREAT RESPONSIBILITY means being brave enough to be the Monster or the Villain when no one else can be. Hell Even Batman eventually comes to understand that later down the road in most incarnations.

All the civilians and people he’s connected and helped as Spider Man at this stage isn’t without meaning I agree that moving on in his age, he needs to transition into being a scientist or innovator but nothing wrong with being the friendly neighborhood spider man from like 15-25 🤷‍♀️

I think it’s because the suit is more powerful. It changed when it first grabbed the meteorite. So it’s more that the symbiotic grew stronger instead of its influence on Peter growing.

I LOVE how much this version is like an addiction. From barely wanting to use it to not wanting to get rid of it at all. Pushes everyone away and only cares about himself and the suit. Too blinded by the symbiote to realize what the real issue is. Also love how it took Miles to snap him out of it, mentally AND physically. Miles was an absolute G in this game.

One thing I loved about this, is that the Spider Symbol is slowly becoming bigger, taking control over Peter's mind. Just like Spectacular Spider-Man.

I like how the symbiote is portrayed on Peter (I also think the peak of the game was from when Peter gets the symbiote suit to when he gets rid of it). I know a lot of people are upset on how they made Peter “weaker” but I think for the most part all of the ways he was saved made sense, especially from his conflict(s) with the symbiote. He couldn’t take control of his emotions and was struggling against the symbiote from a physical standpoint and a mental standpoint. I believe this would ultimately be the reason why he failed chasing MJ and why he lost to Miles. Also the gameplay for the symbiote is epic (understatement), Peter is a badass, and Yuri Lowenthal CRUSHED IT (and he got robbed at the Game Awards)

That goes to show us that the symbiote hasn't fully corrupted him into attacking innocent civilians or the ones closest to him when they lash out about his rude and nasty behavior and deep down inside his conscience there's a little bit of him that's desperately trying to fight off the symbiote's influence of him.

The symbiote attempted to invade Earth quitely by influencing a powerful host. After its identity was blown, the symbiote took a more direct approach and became more active and talkative when it joined with Harry again.

The voice acting on the miles fight was so good, you can’t tell Peter isn’t just angry, he almost sounds like he’s crying

Honestly, Miles fighting Peter was the most terrifying part of the game, not because of Venom, but because of what Venom managed to bring out: Peter's despair.

Love hearing the edginess slowly but surely take over him. Yuri GOATED for this one.

I watched a playthrough of SM2 and there was a glitch during one of the cutscenes where Peter's body turned invisible and he was just a disembodied head. When he transformed, his whole body besides the tendrils was invisible. Kraven was invisible too. After the next cutscene, he transformed into Spider-Cube.

It actually makes more sense for Harry to be Venom than Eddie to be honest, Eddie brok has always kinda been a meh character and his hatred towards Peter isn’t really enough to justify the decades of runs he’s had, hell the fact that Tom hardy eddie brok has nothing to do with Spider-Man speaks volumes

The switch from Kraven to Fighting Spider-Man was the best thing I have ever seen or done…amazing story writing

When that Bell ringing and cause the Symbiote gets weaker, You can feel Peter's Pain and Screaming

Seeing Harry beat the absolute piss out of Kraven is amazing.

The symbiote looks WAY more threatening and monstrous now that it's a writhing mass of tentacles rather than a boring gooey liquid.

His web shooters are still visible on the suit but when it gains more control over Peter they disappear. I think in the early stages of the bond he still needs his web shooters but later he uses organic webbing because venom is slowly replacing everything Peter needs to gain more of a influence over him
