Jesus that's sad, but also nice to know Peter never changed who he was and still saved as many people as he could in the building, despite never getting his powers and sacrificing himself

Peter jumping out of the window to die and thus avoid turning into a monster was a really epic homage to the Exorcist. Karras would have been proud of Spidey 😎

Peter is willing to do whatever he could to save the people who believed in Spider-Man!

@@rakninja Not mirror worlds per say but they do have villain and villain adjacent versions of Spider-Man at least including but not limited to Man-Spider, superior Spider-Man (though this is mainly doc oc controlling his body), and Spiders-Man (yes plural). This is also not including more morally grey versions of spidey where he just starts to kill or maim either due to story events leading to him not caring or the symbiote fucking with his head. That said most instances of marvel doing these alternate variations of characters are almost always one-shots in their own self contained universe so I guess saying marvel doesn't have mirror worlds where multiple hero's completely flip mentality isn't wrong.

@@alecjones8286 yea, when i say "mirror universe," it's a specific setting i'm talking about, generally based on the classic star trek episode "mirror, mirror," it has certain other tropes attached besides "good guys and bad guys swap ideologies." we're talking complete inversion, here. almost to bizzaro levels.
Marvel authors really need an intervention, torturing Pete has become a clear addiction
I wonder how Hyperion reacted after learning of what Peter did to save everyone. Without a doubt he'd feel guilty knowing that him not fully killing all Nano-Bugs caused the situation, but seeing as that someone who was sorta close to him was killed as a result would probably eat him from the inside.

I don't think someone as reckless and selfish as Hyperion would care. He chucked a big ass sign at a building full of people, completely dismissing their lives. I'm surprised Peter didn't try to avenge May's death by going after Hyperion
This story really puts us readers into perspective of civilians in a world of super people. Like, Peter went through all that trouble just to eliminate one small nano bug. Keep in mind, that was Peter Parker, any other civillian wouldn't have stood a chance
5:03 they really don’t capture him the same way anymore, couldn’t agree more. Peter Parker’s willingness to always fight to do the right thing and help others has been something that has honestly helped me through a lot of hard times in my life sacrificing and helping my family. The right thing to do is sometimes the hardest and requires the most sacrifice, but it’s always worth it - and the heart of Spider-man always reminds me of that.
I loved that this story showed off his intelligence and resourcefulness.
I also like how its a fun way to tie into the "Spider Man in every dimension" deal since he *technically* was a Spider Man for a bit and *technically* that drove him to be the most heroic him he'd ever been. Its definitely the most interesting twist on a Spider Man story I've ever seen.
Theres been a few storys where he's not spider-man and they're all sad cause he is the greatest hero! It's the man with the powers that makes the hero!
I can’t believe uncle Ben and Peter are arguing in this comic. I always pictured them having the perfect relationship sort of like a father and son relationship but seeing them fight is almost heartbreaking for me.

A family death can do that. We generally see peter not fighting with May but he also has his powers to occupy his mind and his heroics, and kinda always be something he can rely on if something happens. Here he lost his aunt, he lost the chance to study, he is working in the buggle using his inteligence just to take photos of Hyperion who was part of the reason, if not the main reason, that May died. While Ben is still processing the death of may, which even for main continuity may was also a big hit when she lost ben.

Damn even when he has no powers Peter still is a badass it was really sad seeing him sacrifice himself in the end though
This story is great, but can we PLEASE talk about the artstyle? If Marvel editorial gets their shit together, I’d love to see this artist draw for more Marvel comics.
Loved seeing his inventive mind in action. Even without powers his smarts are powerful enough.
No matter what universe, regardless of how little power Peter has, he is Spider-Man even without the power; as Peter once said: "What's important is not standing by and allowing someone to suffer or die because you do nothing. If you don't get that, then you don't get the first thing about being Spider-Man." -Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
Fun fact: there's a Gwen-verse, a Miles-verse, but there's no such thing as a Peter-verse... there is only the Spider-verse. There is no universe where Peter Parker is not connected in some way shape or form to his alter ego. Anybody can be Spider-Man but Peter Parker can _only_ be Spider-Man.

I read this comic when it came out. It was (and still is) amazing. The first thought in my head was that this version of Peter would fit right in with "The Boys". A quick suggestion, I personally think it would be better if you put the title of the comic book and it's issue number for each video in the description of the video/ shorts to not only keep the comic book scene alive, but also introduce newcomer into the whole comic book scene. cheers!
even when he wasn't spiderman the writers still wanted to make his life painful

Like i said on the last video you should check out Spider-man: Life Story if you haven’t already. It’s a great story that retells Peter’s story from the 60s all the way to the 2010s with Peter aging with the times.
I think the short story "In Memory" by Christos Cage in Amazing Spider-Man (2018) Issue 74 represents something similar where they talk about Ben and responsability, where Peter comes to the conclusion that what Ben meant by it, I like the interpretation of it, recommend people read it.
He also _really_ looks like Scott the Wozz

And here i was hoping peter would get some cool nano bot powers like armstrong from mgr

bro they need to give him some plot armor and say he didn’t fully turn and survived the fall and make more comics out of this spiderish man💀💀
I enjoyed the most recent Squadron Supreme run.
4:30 ^ Well that took a turn…
Spoooder man
Poor Uncle Ben has lost two family members to Hyperion after this. He’s have every reason to go supervillain, but we all know he’d likely rather do some good.
Sees the title: *heavy sigh* Everytime..
That first sentence needs correction because writers love to torment and kill spider-man, so he is not just willing to die, he cannot help but die. All the damn time.
anyone know the name of the DC comic about the alien kid that is supposed to be turned into a para-demon, but it malfunctions, and hes turned but keeps his mind, and tries to prevent other people from becoming para demons, only to be killed cause he cant communicate?
Is there a universe where peter gets bitten by a spider and just f*ckin dies on the spot? Probably our universe lol
Did there previous video about this, i mean " The Maker " intervention right
that peter is so cute
why does peter look like harry potter. maybe its just me but when i see this peter especially in the black graduation clothe i think thats just harry potter without scar
0:07 a spider man who a transformer I wanna see that
be careful he is a hero😢
And now Uncle Ben finds his hatred for hyperyon as he is now the reason Ben gas lost two of his loved ones
I'm sure he could fight off the instincts and not kill anyone but then again, assuming his body changes completely, can't imagine he'd want to live like that
If i remember right this Peter didn't actually have a happy ending like this guy implies. I remember reading somewhere that Peter survives and has his legs broken from the fall.
I forget which issue of this Mephisto-Squadron Supreme-verse had it, but there was a brief notation that he landed, broke a bunch of bones but still survived, and called That having 'the Parker luck' or something What issue of Thor was that appearance from?
It's painful that no matter what good Peter does he will always be the most hated hero especially in Twitter
Love it
You missed the perfectly good line 4:56 You said it not just the powers that make spider-man. And then you said it was the man behind the mask that does. You could have replaced that line with "It's the responsibility"
2:00 of all the options, bro chose an N64 controller
Good story. I agree that they have not had them in a very long time with most comic book companies. I no longer buy comics because of the need to deflate a super hero’s story and inflate politics and self inserts of writers and artists that are sub par. When certain books do well and I look into them they are mid level story telling at best. I’ve all but given up on the art side of things. Something that makes me sad because the technology to improve a great artist’s work is vastly improved in the past 15 years.
@dreams6864

no most of it isn't "politics and self inserts" its just bad writing. ew characters arent bad for a story, nor is political messaging (because things have had politics in them for like, millennia man) its that comics have grown stale because they jsut dont care about trying to write quality stories anymore they just want to make super heroes go through traumatic ordeals and suffer a lot but not have any growth so they can just do it again
Been said a million times but what tf did spiderman do for the authors to put him through all this?
If this universe is exactly the same as the 616 except the spider was squished rather than bit him, Uncle Ben would still die from the burglar. Spider-Man wasn't there to even interact with the burglar, so those events would still play out the same.
