4 legends round a table
Simon Pegg has the shoes. Peter Jackson has the socks.
So fantastic that Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg came back together to collaborate again! And this makes me so excited to see Peter excited about the movie and makes me so wanna see it!
So is anyone else like me in that all their friends (even their own siblings) label The World's End as being indisputably terrible? I really don't understand, because it's one of my all-time favourites. I think, pound for pound, there may have been fewer "jokes told" in this film than in Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz - but can the zeitgeist against this film really be as simply explained as that? The World's End's got so much incredible artistry which people seem to dismiss entirely; lighting and cinematography, great storytelling, awesomely choreographed fight scenes, the *MUSIC*, the fantastic acting... And I don't think it takes some kind of art snob to see that these things all add up to a satisfying, captivating whole. Like Peter Jackson says at the start of this, it's just entertaining from start to finish. I can't believe so many people scold it so relentlessly...

DispleasedEskimo I watched in a plane, didn't like much to tell the truth. I watched only Shaun of the Dead before, yesterday I tried Hot Fuzz and I thought it was awesome too. I will watch The World's End again, when I was flying I was more worried about my next year in another country than the movie anyway :P.
Holy shit, an interview with film makers and actors about film making. Please, PLEASE keep doing this Peter, you hardcore badass.
Thanks for that! Really enjoyed it!
I have no words to express how much I loved this movie...I am sad that the Cornetto Trilogy is over!
Great interviews, The Worlds End looks awesome. Thanks for the vid Peter!
Watching it this Friday!!! Can't wait!
Saw the film with a Q&A from these guys last night, so bloody brilliant!
It's great listening to all these guys talk to each other. All cut from a similar cloth, smart and creative.
Saw the film the other night, loved it! :D Awesome to watch all of you guys chatting together, very inspiring :)
i really enjoyed watching that fantastic interview
LOVE the socks! LOVE Peter Jackson! So inspiring to hear fellow filmmakers talking about the craft!
Such a good interview
Peter Jackson chatting with my favorite modern British comedy duo (trio really!)? I didn't know it was my birthday! Very cool interview, great tips for filmmakers to see how things function at the top!
i could listen to these guys all day! simply cool!!
Your the greatest story teller of this century, honestly the way you portray the stories you tell is amazing, love to be your apprentice :)
Went to Wells recently and went around to all the different sets, lots of fun
This made my day, thanks :)
Peter Jackson is so cool, just so damn cool. All four of them are awesome, but Peter Jackson is just so so cool
Some of my favourite people all together!
I love how casual Peter Jackson is, gotta love the guy
A true meeting of legends!
yes, this was a nice refreshing chat not like an actual interview of sorts just chaps sitting around chatting about things. I loved it, I also like the reference about the States and Starbucks, lol. tis true, shakes head so true. Love the trailer gotta see these movies.
This is brilliant; great idea Peter
Looking forward to this film... Nice Bill Hammond painting in the background too
The two best filmmakers in the world in the same room. Awesome.
I can't wait to see it!
Two awesome actors and two epic regisseurs!
Edgar is from my old neck of the woods, never knew that. Good old Norfolk. Wow Norfolk to New Zealand and all because of Mr Peter Jackson :)
Looking forward to this film :) Love the films they do.
My favorite 2 filmmakers in the same room :3
Man, the talent in that room..
Great interview! Should be a good film.
Lookin' forward to this film!
The worlds end in Camden is an awesome pub, been there many times.
Edgar Wright, creator of some of the best comedy films to hit our screens. Pegg and Frost, the best comedy duo ever involved in these movies. Peter Jackson.... Lord of the Rings.... all win situation here.
Just seen The World's End. Best comedy of the year without doubt, These guys cand do no wrong when they work together.
Peter Jackson is my favorite film maker for a reason!
i like the way peter holds his cup... shows how it can easily tip to far and pour all of its contents to the floor, but through peters iron will, stops it from such a apocalyptic event.
That's pretty awesome! I'd love t visit it
I like every guy in that room so much!
"TNGHT - Acrylics" is the song used at 20:50.
Look forward.
my right shoulder makes an appearance in the scene where Nick is telling the story of the blanks. When the camera tracks forward over the fire :D
I got to see The World's End, well, I was going to say last night, but it was actually 00:01 this morning, as the final part of a back-to-back trilogy showing at my local cinema. I've pretty much said to everyone that it was "f***ing awesome" (minus the *), nice to see that Peter's of pretty much the same opinion. I don't know if it was a case of freshness, but I definitely think it's the best of the three films, although seeing the others on the big screen was also an eye/mind-opener as well.
Peter looks so cosy :)
I love that Peter Jackson's living room looks like my parents' except the original Bill Hammond painting in the background.
Legends can do whatever they want.
Peter Jackson keeps amazing me with his surprises, this is a lovely one. I love Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. What's next Peter?
I just love Edgar
4 awesome people. In one room
I was reading some blogs, but really can't remember which ones :/
Awesome conversation. I love PJ, also i've never seen him not wearing shorts before :O
Love this movie
I was hoping for another production blog for Geek Week, but hey I can dream
Good question..
I know right, it's great :D
*Some Amazing Guys
Can anyone tell me what are the names of the songs that are played in the trailer at the end? Thanks in advance :)
I want one of those sofa chairs!
I'm looking really forward to this movie. Also love Hot Fuzz anf Shawn Of the Dead!
Ahh you see thats the problem when there's more than one town called Wells. Dorset is also very beautiful and dramatic with picture postcard landscapes.
No more vidios:( ;(
Peter Jackson's got'em on!
im gonna do the golden mile...GLOBALY!
It would be awesome if Peter Jackson directed a Nick Frost + Simon Pegg film!
Lol! down to earth man. He is my inspiration for real.
Peter Jackson could present Wright's movies so everyone could watch them
His genius is in his process. He hired Tolkien artists for all of the concept artwork as he knew that imagery was in our heads. He does video blogs to keep the fans informed and involved. He promotes all that are involved, from actors to technical. Weta is now in the forefront and are now involved in virtually every blockbuster movie. LOTR won 11 Oscars. What other director has those notches on their belt? And then there's Andy Serkis' work that was a technical first and is now used by others...
peter is so chilled in his socks xD
First time I saw the film's poster, I was like : "Bilbo and Scotty in the same film?! Awesome!"
That's the one!
UM. He definitely THOROUGHLY explained why he was choosing not to go to Comic-Con in his latest Hobbit Video Diary, and how everything he was doing at the moment is ULTIMATELY for the benefit of all of the fans during the final post productions that WE are waiting for. Do your damn research, the man is a genius and does everything for the fans and the supporters. Peter is amazing, don't take anything he does for granted.
4:50 'fortunately for us we're all the same height' Peter Jackson can relate..
They should make a movie together!
IMO this film was the best of the three. I really enjoyed Shaun of the dead and Hot Fuzz but this is a great film.
Word on that...
3 camera setup?
I can't believe how CASUAL Peter Jackson is! I love that about him. XD
Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Peter Jackson talking? I think I just exploded.
Santa! They stole Bilbo. Thanks for the upload!
I am making my own films now I hope one day I want to be a film directer
Classic PJ! I'm surprised they didn't mention his cameo as Santa Clause in Hot Fuzz
By the way, the 48fps is a really nice evolution. So nice that I'm very sad to watch the current action movies in the poor historic debit format... Except Peter's movies, we must wait the next Avatar on 2014.
Peter Jackson takes casual interviews to the next level by having only socks on his feet during the whole interview.
Double Hot Fuzz, sounds like a great title for a sequel.
10x? Wow, that awesome level is through the roof and to the moon by now.
I almost didn't recognize Nick Frost!
Agreed - I have found Nerdvana.
Pete where are the next blogs?
Watch Edgar Wrights interview on his director award for The Worlds End Movie
Shaun of the Dead ,Hot fuzz and now The world's end, LOVING IT!
CAN I ASK A TOLKIEN FAN A QUESTION PLEASE? I've reas Lord Of The Rings but not The Hobbit. In the trailer when Thorin thrusts his sword to block Bilbos path, & the way he looks at him, from a "character" standpoint are we slowy watching the Dwarf King go from good to an evil guy?
love your socks!
i agree Floxit
At worlds end was film in my school
What's going on with the Dambusters remake?
lol i thought fanny meant something else over there. Aunt Fanny's Cabin is an awesome name for a bar.
