It is like life mate. I have issues with my family, step - Sister & Brother. It got worse When my Mother died. I am 54, so I don't think I worry so much emotion and frustration about seeing them. It is the same in any Band, that are together for many years. Bernard Sumner, born in January. A Capricorn : worries about money. Can be self centered. Loyal to close friends. Hates any confrontation with people. Peter Hook, Aquarius: A person with a playful mind. I loves the experience of being on stage. The partying and socialise. Just a Man with guts and passion for his life. As it is and when it was 🤝

Have seen New Order many times between 1982 and 1990. Then saw the current New order line up in 2013 ... great sound but same songs you always expect from them. I've also seen Hook live twice (2011 - Unknown Pleasures) and 2013 (Movement and Power, Corruption, and Lies). Hooky was true to the original recordings and managed to get a great sound! Can't wait to see the Low Life/Brotherhood show in 2014 November in Toronto.

It's so sad that people feel they have to choose sides. Even sadder is the fact that eventually when they get older they'll probably look back and think….what the fuck did we do that for…what was all that about…the things you do in this life are usually given their worth by the people you share them with and yet people can fall out over the stupidest of things (normally brass and egos)…..shame. There are 2 sides to a story. I have read both Hooky's and Bernard's books. They are both good reads, but I feel that Hooky's books are filed with anger directed at his former band mate and doesn't skirt any issues. Seems he doesn't miss out on any opportunity to knock Barney for everything that went wrong in his life within the band. Barney might skirt a few things in his book, but he seems to take the high road and not delve to much into stuff that to him should stay within the confines of the band and not be for anyone else' s ears. Shame they can't work thing's out for the sake of the fans.

John Gregory It was amazing growing up with the Buzzcocks and Joy Division and the Smiths. There was a scene and I truly believed punk would change the world. I went down to London in the eighties, couldn't find a vibe. Missed baggy which was ironic considering I was friends with one of the Happy Mondays and went to the same schools. Salford and Manchester have contributed greatly, obviously, to music and the late great Tony Wilson was a superb cultural ambassador. Did go to the Hacienda. Visit if you get the chance. It’s interesting, I was growing up when New Order, the Smiths and then Morrissey were in their prime. FM radio NEVER played any of the amazing music from these amazing bands. That is criminal. I never discovered them, and so many other great bands from that era until well after that time period. I feel robbed. But the good thing is, I have discovered them and I appreciate the music so much. The Light sounds amazing doing those Songs. There is a 7:00 version of “Thieves Like Us” out there that is excellent.

_"I find that.. this is the only fuckin' business in the world... where a bunch of people can't get together to make millions of dollars.. What the fuck is wrong with everybody? Does it suck to play music? _*_NO..."_* - Doyle [The Misfits] When one takes all the BS out of the way, there is no real solid reason for most bands to not get back together to make music. It's so damned frustrating when bands/bandmates can't simply just bury the hatchet and just come together for their fans and just play music, especially those bands with large fanbases - even if it's for one last time. Before you know it, one or more members has/have passed away and the opportunity is lost forever. New Order and The Smiths, along with many others out there should take a look at the past and realize the precious opportunity they are discarding. One of my all-time favorite bands, The Chameleons, is a prime example of this. The bickering in that band was insane and though there was a reunion in the early 2000's, everything fell apart again. Despite fans calling out for a truce and another reunion (to no avail), early last year, John Lever (drums) passed away and now, the book on a proper reunion is forever closed. Even if they would set aside their massive differences and reunite, it will never again be a "proper" reunion. The clock waits for no one and the biggest regrets in life are usually the would've/should've/could've type... Time is ticking boys...

@Keith1974 If you see the making of money as a good impetus to make music, then you're missing the whole point of music making *_BUT,_* since you brought up $$$ to begin with and you say they're making "millions", then they'd probably make double or triple that amount if he came back... *_GUARANTEED._* So, if again, if $$$ is so important a facet for you, then you should see his coming back as hugely profitable to the band and a very good reason for him to return...

Interesting that Tony Wilson, ( had turned down The Smiths), 🤔 He was either being very picky, or just a personal reason other Morrisey. I can understand why he never signed Soft Cell. He could of signed The Smiths for their first album. It was a real shame about James, but they were getting more commercial and successful. I don't think the Railway Children had more than 2 studio albums released by Factory records. Happy Mondays came last in a unsigned competition. Tony, signed them for a gamble. Cath Carroll, singer was from the South (uk), got signed to Factory label. Album ' England made me' Probably another gamble to get started, but lack of promotion was the main problem Factory had with the music industry/business.✒🤝

Hi it would have been nice if you had just reviewed the new album but the fact your response was mostly positive was. Cool after the smiths imploded the media then the NME have Tried to kill Morrissey off due to his so called right wing sympathies today it’s the guardian and every other TV personality sticking the knife in.morrissey is many things but racist is just silly Alex Baldwin is black and Morrissey has his image all around .l believe it’s the loss of British culture that’s slowly been disappearing but if any one makes a comment on immigration or the number of places of worship in Luton he is declared a racist when in fact is just talking about something that is not allowed to be discussed. Morrissey is a living icon only after his death will his true contribution to pop culture music be truly appreciated we will not see anyone do what he has done with the smiths and his solo work .. the secret of music. Indeed
