I think a lot of people think his career ended with “So” but everything he’s done since is just as consistently brilliant. Us, is a superb album.

And no matter what he does, it's always compared to So. - The album is less successful than So. - Every fast track is just a copy of Sledgehammer and Big Time. - Every duet is just a copy of Don't give Up. ... I don't think his more recent works deserve that.

I have to say that 'US" is my least favorite of his solo albums. The only songs on it that I really like are this one here and "Come Talk To Me'. I thought that his following album 'UP" was a significant improvement.
Another of my favorite Gabriel songs. It’s so angry, then so soft, begging whoever he’s singing to to stay with him, he needs support to go digging through his past. Haunting.
My favorite artists of all time… Peter Gabriel and Ren! You are now officially into both!! I just saw Gabriel in Montreal and Buffalo on his recent tour. I’ve seen him 10 times live. Ren hasn’t yet toured as he’s still recovering from a dibilitating 10 years of mis-diagnosed Lyme disease. He is actually playing a festival for the first time in July. Secret Garden Festival in the UK. He’s a true generational talent! He’s just starting to get some recognition for his brilliance.
It all started with this song for me. Until then I was more at home in the Phil Collins camp. Then I heard the song on the radio. Saw the video on MTV and I was blown away.
Peter never disappoints. You have a ton of great tracks throughout his catalog. New and old. I loved the tracks off of UP. Try Darkness.
Tragic wreck. Bees 🐝 Amazing flowers and worms. Gotta see the Video! It all makes sense... Somehow... Yeah... Thanks 😁
Peter Gabriel is working on a new album. He shares mixes on his KZread channel. He's been doing it for months. It's way cool. "Digging In The Dirt" in 1992 sounded like a throwback to "Sledgehammer" and "Big Time" -- a last hurrah of the eighties. But that might reflect an impatience for the future felt by Gen-Xer's in search of their turn at the helm. Thirty years later and "Digging In The Dirt" sounds as fresh as ever, like it could have dropped yesterday and who could tell.
Great groove, a lot of funkiness and sinuous playing going on in the mix. Very underrated song IMO.
Must admit that I usually listen to this while watching the interesting video, but it was great to listen to it "pure" (no video), and get an intelligent reaction!
Finally a song i like. Requests lately on your channel has been rough

@@fishoutofwaterseries1424 the requests lately just arent my kind of taste in music.
Forgot about this one, seeing him in concert for the first time, does he still put on a good show?
Love the react! Would love to see Tyler Childers - Nose on the Grindstone from you!
