Hi, Joel! I wanted to thank you for continuing to introduce Dimash to others. Not everyone will be impressed by Dimash's vocal abilities and that's to be expected. I have my own theories as to their disinterest of a phenomenal singer. Will not waste your time stating them. Just wanted you to know that I appreciated your efforts and that I'm glad that you think highly of Dimash! Thanks!! ❤

To be fair, some people will connect with Dimash and some will not. I appreciate your enthusiasm and your efforts in introducing Dimash to even more people. I’ll be probably just as judgemental sounding when I say that I can often predict which of your guests will like or not like Dimash in accordance with their posture. There is a kind of tell, if you will, of individuals who appear to be more uptight and closed off. Dimash’s dears are a tad more open hearted and the body language speaks volumes. Thanks for trying! Cheers from Canada!

FYI: Dimash discovered "SOS" when Gregory Lemarchal, a contestant on a French talent show, performed it emotionally several times just before dying at the age of 23 awaiting a lung transplant in the hospital. Gregory had Cystic Fibrosis and had to sing, dance and act on that talent show with just 25 percent of his lung capacity. Nevertheless, he won that season's show and Dimash was inspired enough to grab the song with its emotional lyrics and make it his own.

Maybe he needed to see the version with the English subtitles, then he might have 7nderstood that this was no romantic song for the ladies. Look Dimash isn’t the type of music that I would choose to play for enjoyment. I just love watching someone with such a supreme talent, even better I like watching the reaction of musical and opera professionals to his work. It’s a privilege to witness someone of his talent, I bet I’ll never see another in my lifetime. If it wasn’t for the internet we probably would never have come across him. When our multicultural TV channel went live here circa 1980, there was a show called ‘rock around the world’ showcasing what was around that week, but it was solely European, I don’t recall any Asian performers at all, and Kazakhstan was still part of the USSR, but I bet the Russian artists would have been from around Moscow/St Petersburg. Here’s an idea Joel you could do your own ‘rock around the world’ show you already have much of the basics, artists will likely grant permission for you to showcase their latest releases.

I don't know, I just think that for some reason, some people can see the musical equivalent of a nuclear bomb and somehow remain unimpressed. Of course if you are in physical proximity of a nuke, you will not only be impressed but you will also be vaporized! And I think that if he was at Dimash's concert and was faced with that sound in the stadium, then he might be more impressed. Some people are very narrow in their tastes and not open to something different, I guess. He said that he could relate to certain French performances but could not relate to this. But somehow I can't imagine him sitting and checking out other French performances... Anyway, thanks for playing it for him, Joel 😎👍

It didn’t speak to him, that’s ok. And he is right, the female fanbase is much bigger than the male fanbase. Talking about language. Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Nice video. Most people coming from rock do not get to understand songs that have roots in la chanson francaise. They find it too mellow. Even that song is from an rock opera and when it was premiered many rockers said that it could be something like a pop opera for girls but not rock opera at all

🎤🎶🪄🇰🇿🔥♾️🌌🫴🌹👑🇦🇷💞

I appreciate his not connecting with Dimash. Honestly, he managed Peter Frampton I might have chosen one of Dimash’s rock folk Kazakh songs. It would fit a bit more in with Framptons style of singing. Or the stripped down version of Omir where he is on the piano and his brother is on the guitar. I know you love SOS and I agree the Slavic Bazaar one is a personal favourite. Though I think sometimes picking a song that has a similar feel to things they obviously like might be better. Then they can go from there. While a lot of artists or those in the music industry are open to all types of music, often they have a preferred genre and it can be easier when introducing them to someone (especially someone unique as Dimash) to stay in their wheelhouse or close to it. Thank you though for your continued desire and work in bringing not only Dimash but other artists that those in the industry haven’t heard.

Dimash speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, he speaks some English and a little Mandarin and is learning both, but he can sing in any language. Having been in choirs, choruses, and glee clubs myself, I've sung songs in many languages and I only speak English. It's basically memorizing nonsense syllables to go with the music, then with an explanation of the meaning one can put the proper emotion to the song. It's a skill and a talent, but it's not magic or ET. Much love

I am French and I listen to everyone tell Dimash is apparently the best singer in the world. But to be honest with non native French speakers who don't understand any French language, in this song his French is weird and not very good to me . I think he doesn't understand a lot of french ( I guess he's a native Russian speaker) and maybe knows a little bit of french. I mean don't get me wrong I feel his singer voice is absolutely incredible and beautiful . I am not singer, nor vocal Doctor or something like that. But I am a French teacher and I can ensure you his pronunciation sounds very random in this particular song. I mean I understand when he's singing some words and even some sentences. But there are too many things not audible and dificult to hear . For example when he's saying. "Pourquoi je ris, pourquoi je pleure?" This means Why Iam laughing , why I am crying ?" I only understand " Pourquoi", but his pronunciation of" je ris " and " je pleure" are quiet incomprehensible. I am oblige guessing what verbs he's using and I succeed understanding like that. Because of his "not very good pronunciation" this demands a lot of concentration to understand all the sounds he's pronuncing. Whatever he's using low notes, high notes, chest voice, head voice... this is always a weird french. But he's voice is so prefect, then "his no good french" is not so important in the spirit of this song. But with other songs or other singers less talented than Dimash singing this song, it could be a real problem lyrics -wise to the audience . This is my humble opinion.

Fair enough. A bit unexpected reaction. But, just fine. Peter has made similar comments on other reactions, i.e. personal comments on seemingly unrelated things. It seems like Peter is very visual oriented and general performance oriented. That's might be why he is a production manager. My personal take on SOS is that it is a show off. An impressive show off, but not music I would put on my play list. He has other songs that works just fine for listening though.

This is not for show off, this song was especially composed and written for a singer with a wide range because it is about the contrasts between high and low, both physical and emotional. It is a very intense and emotional song, a true emotional rollercoaster, and I am addicted to it since the first day I accidently heard it 5.5 years ago. It had such a profound effect on me since the first time I heard it, that I couldn't stop listening to it. Since then not only is this song on my playlist, but I listen to it every day several times a day, and it has a healing effect on me, and i am not the only one, there are many like me. Personally, I prefer the 2021 version, the Singer version, the concert versions, and practically every existing version to this one, because here he performed in front of VIPs and was somewhat reserved compared to the other occasions. But all the other versions are so emotional and produce such emotional response in me that I can't even describe in words.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 No I don't. It is written to transmit the meaning, the idea, the emotion of the song, which is about CONTRASTS, including life and death contrasts, the range is a means to transmit that meaning, not to show itself off. The talent is used in service of the song, not the other way around. If you don't understand it, I am sorry. Dimash himself cried and had an emotional difficulty to perform this song on several occasions because of the emotional impact and the association with people he lost.

@@user-ii1ke9ex4u I don't care about the octaves either, wide range is nice but it's not what makes me love Dimash, this is only one of the tools he uses, and all his vocal techniques are amazing in the sense that they allow him to express exactly what he needs to express. Only the emotional effect the way he sings it produces on me is what counts. He always knows how to transmit the meaning and the feeling of every particular song, including those that are only performed in his mid range, because he always gives each song the exact interpretation that speaks to my heart and soul. For instance, Qaragym ai is not about range at all, there he expresses totally different but just as moving emotions with the use of vibrato, breath, soft voice.
