Never saw Peter as I didn’t start going to Newcastle Speedway until 1965 when I was 10 and of course my favourite was Ivan. However used to love watching Brian Craven in those days. Not as good as Peter obviously but a very reliable heat leader none the less. Both gone but not forgotten.

A field of at ;east six riders is much better for the spectators I believe. This would be a good format for both the Elite League & World Championships.
