Shakti is equally good if youre into jazzy sort of music

It was late november, i was at their concert. At the end, they played this song and i dont know if it was weather or the absence of a lover but this song hit me like a bullet in the head.

So the girl (Surbhi) jumped off a fuckin ledge. Enters "Death"(Post credit scene mentions Suryakant as "Death") walking through different seasons as a symbol of our life's journey and "I am coming" (from the lyrics) is what death is saying. Now there's the girl who jumped (Surbhi) standing next to a burning (what it seems like a body). Now Surbhi standing next to the body depicts the "soul" is detached from the body and now death is taking the "soul" with it. Surbhi flicking the ciggy like a boss shows in the end we don't really take anything with us when death grabs our hand. Here's what i think this video tried to show.

I thought the story was about a guy who goes to the world of the dead to save his girlfriend, but then I read the credits and i think you're right.

this song is like a drug addiction to me, it doesn't make you feel good after sometime, it doesn't make you happy, but its irresistible and is addicting. and you just can't do anything about it. crazy mfs playing with my emotions. goosebumps always

holy shiiiiit!! what was this man. i was literally on the edge of my bed in the last minute hoping "no cliffhangers". insane!

this is how love feels like

Meaning for me lies on the sacrifice and the love they both share. The lady is bound to be married to someone else. She thinks that she would rather die than marrying someone else rather than our lover. Then, the lady jumps off a wall and she is presumably dead. Just after she dies the lover literally reaches the ground to his truth that she has died. He is not able to mourn this significant loss and he is trying to numb it though alcohol. We can see several relapses of the alcohol on the several epic music relapses (bass drop). After not being able to live himself to the truth, he just rides along her death fire. However, his actual body on the fire is not shown since its symbolises his acceptance of her meaning in his life. The sacrifice of putting himself on the fire does not matter but his meeting and spending his time does. So, he meets her happily by sitting alongside the fire. Just as he puts himself, we can see the fire burning more fiercely but the meeting and their sacrifices combine so that they meet and go together somewhere not heaven nor hell. Just somewhere they can be together for rest of their lives. Note: I also think this act actually raises awareness on the actual practice of Sati pratha. So amazing to see its reversal on something so emotionally drowning.

i am scared watching this video so much so that i blocked it on one of my accounts as it kept showing up... depresses me.. especially the shooting done in the delhi park with plastic litter lying around.. very depressing.. yet very beautiful.. actually listening to it is better than not listening to it because the tune keeps haunting otherwise also.. human life is sad from a certain angle..

It's not the guy who is dead. It's the woman in red saree who killed her self. The man in Black symbolises death itself. He is just shown roaming intoxicated at the great Wall of China and then suddenly appears in an odd Park which resembles Delhi. In the starting the woman is shown jumping from a height and at the end standing near her funeral pyre. Death pokes her and gives him his hand. She holds it and fades into nothingness while the sudden flash of fire ends the scene.
