Aerobatics derived from dog fighting! It was to learn your planes limits to out fly your opponent. Learning gyroscopic maneuvering gave you an advantage because you could roll faster with the aid of rudder and torque to turn away quicker. Many early aerobatic competitions were flown in war time trainers.

awesome! i'm trying to unterstand how to perform a lomecevak on a rc place, but there's something i don't understand: neil williams explains that the lomecevak is started with full left rudder on a plane having the prop turning anti clockwise seen from the pilot. if i'm right, the prop of an extra is turning clockwise, so one should start a lomecevak with right rudder. but in the video, peter besenyei starts all lomecevak with left rudder. can someone help me to unterstand?
@ronhicks1663
7 жыл бұрын
it really doesnt matter what direction the prop is turning. the important thing is having enough through in your rudder to get the plane sideways then full down elev. and full left or right rudder and full throttle. the prop torque doesnt really effect a crank shaft maneuver.

I know nothing about flying etc, so I have some questions. How hard is it? Can any "normal" pilot just jump in and do this kind of stuff? How long have they trained for stuff like this.
@FaithByFlight
8 жыл бұрын
+Glenn Johan Flying isn't hard in general. It's like any new thing that you may try to do, it just takes practice. A "normal" pilot would be able to do barrel rolls and simple stuff like that, but not tumbles the slip close to the ground, or any flatspins/inverted stalls. As for training, it all depends on the pilot. Some people are naturally talented and some take years of training.
