Yeah he was, played the nice guy and was in it for fame. He was super insecure about her success over his. I genuinely think he was a snide. People fall for the nice guy act when in fact he was shagging about after they broke up meanwhile acting all devastated and devoted. Cant stand him and he's pretty talentless. Made a career off the back of her.

What a gentleman, could so easily have written his "life story" and made money from his life with KP, but he is so diplomatic and discreet. Fern Britton was told repeatedly that he didn't want to discuss it in detail, but nosey bint kept on like some terrier with a bone. Lovely dignified man.

What a raw interview. How uncomfortable. You can see the pain on his face. It's very mature of him to think about his children.

Peter is a very decent man.. i am happy he has now met an equally decent lady . A doctor.what more does one want?

I give him credit for not wanting to talk about the split and just focus on the music. Phil and Fern just wouldnt let it go - but I imagine for them they were hoping he might be weak and give them a scoop. As he said - he's not saying more than he already has at other times... so good on him. And he's 100% right - one day his kids are going to have access to everything and sooner rather than later. I cant imagine they'll have an easy time of it once they are at school...

@seth78546 I respectfully disagree. The guy is just not afraid to show his emotions as most other guys might. He wears his heart on his sleeve and why shouldn't he? And in case you might think I'm a fan or female devotee with a crush I'm a 34 year old straight male who has never once bought one of his singles or albums. I'm not a fan but I do think Pete is a very nice guy who is essentially a good father to his kids.

I have not seen my Son in a while because the Mother is a narsasistic lier doing what she did because she knew my Son would and will one day love me to bit's. Her's was all selfish gain did not want my Son loveing me more. It's broken me cost me everything I owned. Nearly cost me my life recently such have been the losse's I've experianced since all this loss of my boy.. But I'm glad you got your Happiness in this Earthly World Peter. She does regret it. All her other exes have said they can't compete with Pete because Katie always has to bring up his name in conversation and she admitted on loose women that they should never have let the cameras in in their lives after the jungle.

One minute Pete's the love of her life next he's this that and I think because Emily's young beautiful a doctor she's very jealous of the fact that Pete is settled in love , life's good and she will never be able to have him back. She knows she will never find anyone like him again. She caused the haters she has. The way she would speak to Pete and insult him on their reality show was cringe even celebs were saying whereas horrible to him and he should leave. I don't believe she's bankrupt either. I'm sure Katie isin't skint either she is to savvy to of blown every penny. Bottom lining it Pete come out on top and i like Pete he seem's a top fella. So Katie cost herself a good man. I was proud of him in week pipeing up and saying nationally what he has regard her bankruptcy. Very big of him and the right way to behave. Emily is a little treacle pie and Katie now will of know that Pete has moved on forever. I've been hurt bad so when I see Pete hurting, I really related to that pain. But he has got through it and is a smashing fella from what I see of him on the television and social media.

Why is everybody dissin him as if he was Audley Harrison? I haven't seen other things with him since '96 but he seems like a decent guy.

i must admit, i think both fern and phillip handled the interview very well. Of course questions were going to be asked..but theu didn't pressure him. It was all pretty calm. We all get the jist anyway don't we...Peter's weight loss says it all really doesn't it, and i truthfully think he has been through utter hell with katie, you can see it on his face! He is a good guy tho and deserves much more

Interesting watching this back. When I first saw it I had a lot of respect for him, considering he said that he wouldn't say anything bad about kate in case the kids hear about it later on. But actions speak louder than words. And he slagged her off many times after this interview. And when he sung a song on his show saying the mother of his children wasn't worth shit I lost all respect. Kates not been perfect but she didn't make a big deal about not being horrible and then did the complete opposite. And she has said good things about him called him a brilliant father etc. Never heard him say a good thing about her or say shes a good mum etc. Hope his kids do look things up and see that.

#KellieGriffin I disagree. I think he is a man of his word. He said he would never reveal why they split and to this day he hasn't. He has not in my opinion ever slagged her off, only called her up on a couple of parenting things he didn't agree with, like when she put makeup on toddler Princess. I think he has kept his dignity to this day even though it is well known now that Katie supposedly had an affair and was pregnant with another man's child which she then aborted. In my experience there is never any smoke without 🔥 ....just saying
