Yes, she needed help when she was younger, and all the trauma she's gone through she has n oself love or acceptance, so abuses her body with tattoos and surgery. It's a form of self harm.

Such a relief to find these comments. I have thought he appeared so arrogant and full of himself for years! He was always trying to put Katie down and make her look a fool. If you've been in an emotionally abusive relationship you spot these signs a mile off. He had no respect for.

It’s a shame really. To much to soon. 2 kids really close together so soon in their relationship wasn’t the best idea. Kate had a very busy work life. They didn’t have enough time to just be together. Management constantly around. If they had just been left alone maybe things would have worked out.

Absolutely agree. I think katie did say this, she felt like she was in a 3 person relationship with clare. She seemed to always be in the way. You could see in the stateside season how depressed katie was

They should have taken a long break from the shows. You could tell that she couldn't stand having to put herself on the back burner for the time that they were in LA. It's really a shame that they couldn't make it work; they seemed very good together.

Katie kept on making nasty unnecessary digs at Pete, and I think he started to resent her for it and would do it back to her. She may have been suffering from depression and took a lot of it out on Pete. She should have got help sooner and maybe they would have been able to save their marriage. @Bassline Rally He was actually pretty vicious in that fight too. Boy does he know how to wind her up! It showed how extremely jealous he is of her and how he tried to make her feel bad in front of the shop keeper then turns around and acts like a victim. Watch it again, I used to think it was all Kate...but now I look back and see that Peter is such an instigator and actually a covert narcissist himself!

They really were both awful, i think in the beginning it started as banter, but they eventually resented everything about one another. From Peter dad jokes, to Katie's messiness. They just hated one another towards the end and it came out in toxicity and verbal abuse

Its so visible how toxic she is. Always bad mood, always discussing, unpredictable (the fire thing was shocking). He feels unheared and angry and starts to make passive agressive comments.
